Jessica Alba Praises Son Hayes, 8, for Bravery Amid “New Changes”

Kate Hudson celebrated her son Hayes’ 8th birthday with a touching post, praising his determination and sweet spirit. Hayes is the son she shares with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Cash Warren.

Jessica, 44, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram on January 1st about her son, Hayes. She wrote, ‘My sweet, bright, fun, and hilarious Hayes,’ and reminisced about his birth eight years ago on New Year’s Eve. She expressed how quickly time has passed while also cherishing all the wonderful moments watching him grow into a wonderful young boy, calling it one of the greatest joys of her life.

As she promised, the Fantastic Four actress—who planned to spend New Year’s with her boyfriend, Danny Ramirez—shared a slideshow of Hayes picking up new hobbies. It showed him excelling at tennis, golf, soccer, and handball.

Jessica is proud of her son’s athletic skills, but she’s even more touched by the close relationship he’s developed with his sisters, Honor, 17, and Haven, 14, over time.

She went on to say she loves how quickly he thinks on his feet when he’s with his sisters, and how much he enjoys playing and having fun. She also admires his ability to speak two languages and his kind, understanding heart for anyone who feels left out. She’s been especially impressed with how bravely he’s faced this year, refusing to let uncertainty hold him back and instead embracing all the new changes with courage.

She finished her touching message with a heartfelt declaration: “I’m incredibly proud of you, and I love you now and always. Happy Birthday, my sweet boy!”

Last February brought a big change for Jessica and Cash Alba-Warren, who announced their divorce after 16 years of marriage. Meanwhile, their oldest daughter has some exciting news of her own – she was recently accepted to Yale University, marking a major achievement in her education.

Cash wrote a message praising Honor, saying he was amazed by her dedication to her goals throughout a challenging year. He said watching her stay focused was truly inspiring, and he admired how she sets an example for her siblings. He ended by excitedly predicting great things for her, saying she’s destined for success with YALTopMob!

I was SO relieved to see pictures of them all together for Easter in April 2025. They really pulled it together for Honor, Haven, and Hayes, and it was just… amazing to see they can still be a family, even through all of this. Jessica shared a photo on Instagram, writing, “The best day at #UniversalStudios celebrating our 7 year old, Hayes!” and thanking Universal Studios for their hospitality.

The actress, known for her role in Honey, shared a Christmas photo on Instagram on December 26, 2025. She filed for divorce the following day, ending her marriage to Cash.

The pair attended a screening of Jessica’s film Trigger Warning with their daughters in June 2024.
