Game developers who have a popular game, even one released several years ago, have the option of remaking it – a practice that’s become increasingly common in the last ten years. However, this wasn’t always the case.

The recent layoffs have impacted several individuals, including Camille Olivier Paquette, a level designer on Gotham Knights; Ceri Young, who was lead scriptwriter for Gotham Knights and associate narrative director on Wonder Woman; and Nicolas Pereira-Poisson, an associate producer.

According to FlixPatrol, the movie Joker: Folie à Deux is now a top 10 hit on Netflix worldwide. While the 2024 film generated a lot of excitement before its release—thanks to the success of the first Joker movie, the addition of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, and its unique musical format—it unfortunately performed poorly in theaters, earning only $208 million with a production budget of around $200 million. Despite being considered a box office failure, Folie à Deux is now finding an audience and gaining popularity on the streaming platform.

To celebrate its upcoming ninth anniversary on March 30th, a special broadcast will revisit the Blue Reflection series. The program will feature interviews with character designer and supervisor Mel Kishida, as well as the voice actresses for Hinako Shirai, Yuuki Takada, and Raimu Shijou, Sawako Hata.

Interestingly, the current generation of consoles didn’t show a huge improvement in graphics or performance across most games, because newer software tricks like dynamic resolution and image upscaling helped bridge the gap.

The Star Fox series began in 1993 with a very successful game on the Super Nintendo. Four years later, Star Fox 64 for the Nintendo 64 was even more popular. While the franchise hasn’t had many installments, it continued until 2016 with the release of Star Fox Zero. Unfortunately, this new game was a major disappointment. Critics found it too short, lacking in new ideas, and difficult to control. It didn’t sell well and became the lowest-performing game in the series. Even the release of Star Fox 2 the next year couldn’t fix the damage done by Star Fox Zero.
