Prime Video Just Added a Notoriously Banned Found Footage Movie So Disturbing Some People Can’t Even Finish It

Although never officially banned by any government, the disturbing and realistic content of The Poughkeepsie Tapes – which depicts torture, brainwashing, and stalking – led MGM to shelve the film for almost ten years, earning it a reputation as a banned movie. Originally scheduled for release in February 2008, director John Erick Dowdle’s mockumentary was pulled after its premiere at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. It wasn’t widely available until 2014 when it was briefly released on DirecTV’s VOD service, only to be removed again. Eventually, it received a home release in 2017 and became more widely available on streaming platforms starting in 2020. Currently, those who dare to watch it can stream The Poughkeepsie Tapes on Prime Video, where it became available on April 1st.

Who Is Marrok Talking To in Maul: Shadow Lord Episode 6’s Ending? (& How It Supports the Best Star Wars Theory)

As a huge cinema fan, I was really gripped by these episodes! We see Marrok initially battling Devon Izara and her Jedi Master, Eeko-Dio Daki, and then things get intense when he finally comes face-to-face with Maul. It’s wild because Maul and Devon actually team up for a bit to fight Marrok! After they manage to hold him off, Marrok returns to his ship and kneels before a holographic figure. He reports: “My Lord, I’ve confirmed Maul is here. He’s even more dangerous than we thought, and he’s working with two Jedi. What are your orders?”
