13 Corriedale questions we have following the explosive Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover episode

**Warning: Full spoilers ahead for Corriedale.**

Soap opera fans had a big night, as characters from Coronation Street and Emmerdale appeared together for a special crossover event – a first that might not happen again.

The story began with a large car crash involving characters from both shows, and it was immediately clear that their lives were forever changed.

The action on the dark and stormy roads of Hotten wasn’t limited to just stunts; there were arrests, deaths, and even a heartwarming engagement.

There’s nothing more romantic than a car crash, right?

This episode raised more questions than it answered, and we have a lot to discuss in the coming weeks.

Here’s everything we need to know following that landmark episode…

13 Corriedale questions we have following the explosive Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover episode

1. Who is the mystery woman?

Despite the surrounding destruction, a van fell into line with the stalled traffic. The driver, a man with his face hidden by a hood (we’ll explain more about him shortly), briefly looked back at a woman who was tied up in the vehicle’s rear.

She begged for assistance and a chance to leave, but he didn’t listen. Once he got out of the car, she broke free and ran into the woods.

She was running when she heard Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) call out, and she briefly looked away from where she was going. This caused her to trip and fall into a tree. He told her he was a police officer and then noticed she had cable ties fastened around her wrists.

2. How on earth is Graham Foster alive?

The most surprising moment of the evening was the reappearance of Graham Foster, played by Andrew Scarborough, who was legally responsible for Joe Tate.

I was really shocked when Graham Foster was killed off! It was awful to see him murdered by Pierce Harris back in 2020. And it’s easy to forget he had such a complicated history – he was once married to Kim Tate and even dated Rhona Goskirk before all of that. It just shows how much drama there is in the village!

He was the van driver in Corriedale, transporting the unidentified woman, but his involvement remains a mystery.

We witnessed him standing near Joe’s body at the scene of the accident, and later visiting him in the hospital. But the biggest question is: how did he survive?

3. Will Robron get their happily ever after in the wake of John Sugden’s death?

Good news for Robron fans! It looks like another wedding might be happening. Aaron Dingle was pointing a gun at his abusive husband, John, which distracted John while driving and caused a car crash involving the Swain family.

He quickly left, allowing Aaron to share a sweet moment with his former husband, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). They realized that, despite their past difficulties, they are meant for each other and decided to get married again.

Robert quickly joined Kit in looking for John, but they didn’t realize Cain Dingle was following close behind.

John stunned Kit with his gun, and in the ensuing chaos, Cain was unintentionally shot. But before the night was over, John himself had died.

4. Will Victoria Sugden be caught?

The identity of John’s killer was quickly discovered: it was his sister, Victoria, played by Isabel Hodgins.

She stared at his body, shocked and overwhelmed as the reality of what had happened started to sink in.

With Hodgins expecting a child, could a prison sentence lead to Victoria’s departure?

5. Where do Carla Connor and Lisa Swain stand following Becky’s arrest?

Becky Swain, played by Amy Cudden, was finally arrested for her actions. Interestingly, her wife, Lisa (Vicky Myers), happened to have handcuffs in the ambulance and took her into custody.

Carla (Alison King) clearly loves Lisa and her daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin), but have past events created too much distance between them?

Swarla fans, beware – there’s probably going to be a rocky road ahead.

6. Will David Platt survive?

David, played by Jack P. Shepherd, was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2010. While his condition hasn’t been a major storyline since then, he recently had a seizure and collapsed at the end of an episode.

Pregnant wife Shona (Julia Goulding) watched on in horror, though she has her own problem.

7. What will happen to Shona Platt’s baby?

Shona is pregnant and expecting a baby girl, but the Platts are devastated to learn their daughter may have a cancerous tumor on her neck.

After the minibus accident, Shona was worried because she couldn’t feel her baby moving. Luckily, Jacob Gallagher was there to tell her everything was alright.

When she got to the hospital, her water broke and she started having contractions. Would the baby be okay?

8. Will Todd Grimshaw be able to escape Theo Silverton following Billy Mayhew’s tragic death?

Theo (James Cartwright) has caused Billy’s (Daniel Brocklebank) death while also abusing Todd (Gareth Pierce).

Once Theo learned that Todd had revealed his terrible actions to Billy, he realized he had to stop the archdeacon, permanently.

He entered the burning van and found Billy had gotten free of his seatbelt. Instead of rescuing him, he re-buckled Billy and left him there.

The bus then went up in flames.

Will Todd be able to escape?

9. How will Cain Dingle deal with his diagnosis?

The episode concluded with scenes of people in Weatherfield and Hotten being cared for after being hurt. A doctor delivered worrying news to one character, revealing they’d discovered a tumor.

It suddenly hit me – Cain was the one who was sick. This was right after he’d finally decided to book a honeymoon with Moira, which was long overdue. It felt awful timing, to say the least.

10. Is Carl Webster about to get his comeuppance?

Carl, who was intoxicated, had intended to escape to Germany after taking money from his sister, Debbie. However, he was involved in a crash that prevented him from leaving.

He pulled her body from the car and placed it in the driver’s seat. But as he walked away, he suddenly collapsed.

Brother Kevin (Michael Le Vell) quickly became suspicious and, while visiting him in the hospital, revealed he knew the man was the driver. He made it clear he wouldn’t allow the blame to be shifted to Debbie’s early-onset dementia.

11. Will Mackenzie Boyd spill Charity Dingle’s baby secret?

Mack (Lawrence Robb) lost control of his car and swerved off the road after discovering that the baby Charity (Emma Atkins) is expecting isn’t her step-granddaughter, Sarah’s (Katie Hill) child.

He still believes he’s the father, even though Ross Barton is actually the child’s biological father.

Charity was worried her secret would be revealed as she and Sarah sat with Mack in the hospital.

Will he have a change of heart after the accident?

12. Who killed Ray Walters?

Okay, so last night on Emmerdale, things got seriously dark. They showed someone dragging Ray’s body – Joe Absolom played him – in a bag. It immediately made me think, ‘Who did this?’ The show quickly gave us five possible suspects: Ross, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry is brilliant, by the way), Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy always delivers), Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock is a legend), and even little April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan!). It’s got me totally hooked trying to figure out who the killer is.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him again – his body, this time in the back of Jai Sharma’s van. It was a shocking sight, and I’m still reeling from it.

He had said he was planning a trip to Manchester, but now we’re wondering if someone forced him to bring Ray along. Or could he be the one who suggested it?

13. Will the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale ever cross again?

While it’s highly improbable – and the show’s executive producer has suggested it won’t happen – the fact that characters have mentioned both ‘Weatherfield’ and ‘Emmerdale’ recently has sparked speculation about a possible future connection between the two shows.

Picture this: a terrible accident happens on the famous Coronation Street. Chas Dingle and Liam Cavanagh watch the news coverage and remember attending a murder mystery event in the same area a while back.

There are many possibilities, but right now, let’s just be happy that Corriedale worked out so well!

Corriedale can be streamed on ITVX.
