Grasshopper Manufacture’s Romeo is a Dead Man really needed a trailer explaining the story, showing how things got so crazy. And now, creator Suda51 and the team have provided one! It details how Romeo Stargazer went from being a regular small-town sheriff to being murdered and brought back to life as DeadMan. You can watch the trailer below.
The story kicks off here with a wild, time-traveling adventure across the galaxy. Romeo, equipped with the Deadgear weapon, teams up with the Space-Time Police to hunt down criminals – and find Juliet along the way. If you’re familiar with No More Heroes, you’ll recognize the fast-paced, slashing combat, but Romeo has a wider variety of weapons than Travis Touchdown.
Do you want to defeat enemies with powerful weapons like huge metal objects, or by splitting your staff into dual swords? You can also use guns, beam rifles, or even powerful gauntlets to crush them. Plus, by absorbing enemy blood, you can activate a special attack called Bloody Summer to quickly eliminate groups of foes.
Okay, so it just keeps getting better! Grasshopper Manufacture showed off what looked like a giant robot – seriously, it reminded me of something straight out of Gundam! We already know there’s a spaceship for exploring space, so adding in some awesome mech battles? Yes, please! I’m so hyped!
Launching on February 11th, Romeo is a Dead Man will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
