Octomom Natalie “Nadya” Suleman Celebrates 50th Birthday With Her Kids

Octomom was surrounded by her octuplets when she rang in the big 5-0.

On July 11, Nadya Suleman, also known as “Octomom,” celebrated her birthday with her sixteen-year-old children: Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Makai, Josiah, Jeremiah, and Jonah.

On Instagram, posted on July 12th, the star of the Confessions of Octomom shared a picture with her youngest children, expressing in her own words: “I couldn’t think of a better place to spend my birthday than at home, surrounded by loved ones. A big thank you to my kids for making this day so memorable and extraordinary.

Suleman, mother of Elijah (24), Amerah (23), Joshua (21), Aidan (20), and 18-year-old twins Caleb and Calyssa, mentioned that her six older children were absent from the picture as they typically avoid the limelight. However, they still honored the special occasion by presenting her with distinctive gifts.

She expressed her gratitude, saying, “Your valuable time together and your love mean the world to me.” Adding, “Each moment we share brings me immense joy and happiness, making me feel incredibly fortunate to be your mother.

Suleman truly embodies the role of a mother, given that rearing 14 kids is, in her own words, both challenging and incredibly stressful.

As a lifestyle advisor, I shared with TopMob News in March that my approach to parenting has often been shaped by feelings of guilt. You see, I can’t help but feel responsible for the fact that our family’s peace was disrupted by the relentless intrusion of tabloid media. It’s as if they snatched away any semblance of normalcy from under my child’s feet, leaving us all yearning for a more balanced life.

Although she strived to maintain stability, Suleman asserted that her children had endured traumatic experiences, given their status as the offspring of a person who faced worldwide ridicule and disapproval.

She clarified, “A common misunderstanding is that I craved it – fame. However, that’s not accurate at all.

Still, Suleman has forged an irrevocable bond with her children.

She emphasized, “We are extremely close-knit as a family.” She continued, “Transparent and sincere conversations are the solution to any issues or complications that may arise within our family dynamic.

On her 50th birthday in July 2025, Natalie “Nadya” Suleman, more commonly known as the “Octomom,” spent the day with her eight youngest children who were born in 2009 and include Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Makai, Josiah, Jeremiah, and Jonah.

She mentioned on Instagram that her eldest six children, namely Elijah, Amerah, Joshua, Aidan, Caleb, and Calyssa, were absent from the picture as they prefer to keep their private lives out of the public eye at that moment.

In March 2025, Natalie expressed her joy on Instagram as her grandchild celebrated six months of life. She referred to the little one as their “little angel,” stating that she had been a great blessing. The pictures she shared showed the beautiful and sweet smiles of the child, who is Joshua’s daughter. In her post, Natalie expressed how much her heart filled with love for this grandchild and how grateful they were to witness her growth each day. To emphasize her eternal love, she borrowed a famous quote from the children’s book “Love You Forever,” saying, “I’ll love you forever. I’ll like you for always As long as I’m living My grand-baby you’ll be.

Natalie expressed her gratitude to Noah, Nariyah, Jonah, and Isaiah for their diligent efforts and commitment in the kitchen during Thanksgiving 2024. In a post on Instagram, she praised their plant-based, whole food, nutrient-rich dishes as compassionate, healthy, and delicious. She also expressed that everyone was thankful and blessed.

Last year on Halloween 2024, the mother of 14 posted a flashback picture featuring herself and several of her children donning their costumes from 2015.

I’m overjoyed beyond words, for in September 2024, my heart swells with joy as I learn that my son Joshua and his wonderful wife are now parents! On Instagram, I penned down my heartfelt gratitude to the universe for this precious gift. Our family is enriched by her arrival, and we eagerly anticipate watching our little one bloom. Born on August 30, 2024, she’s already deeply cherished by us all!

On my 49th birthday last July 2024, as I watched my little ones grinning for the camera, I couldn’t help but sneak in a secret wish. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, I expressed my gratitude: “What a special day you made for me yesterday, kids! I adore each and every one of you.

On Native American Heritage Day in 2023, Jonah, Nariyah, Noah, and Jeremiah played the role of head chefs for our family’s vegan feast. Natalie shared her appreciation for their hard work on Instagram, writing ‘Happy belated Thanksgiving and Happy Native American Heritage Day! Thank you for your tireless efforts in preparing mouthwatering meals that we all enjoyed. You are cherished and valued, and it was wonderful to see the two overflowing plates filled with your culinary masterpieces! I hope everyone had a safe and joyful holiday season surrounded by loved ones!’

In lieu of 48 candles, the kids brought balloons for their mom’s birthday in July 2023.

Natalie’s eldest daughter Amerah celebrated her 21st birthday in July 2023.

The two enjoyed a mother daughter movie night in July 2023.

Natalie celebrated the sweet 16th birthday of her twins, Caleb and Calyssa, with this endearing throwback photo. On Instagram in October 2022, she wrote: ‘Happy sweet 16th birthday to my opposite-in-every-way twins!’

Calyssa, you have become a considerate, empathetic, intelligent, attractive young woman who cares for all living things. It’s hard to find the right words to express how proud I am to call you my daughter. You are a gifted writer and artist, and you will accomplish any goal you set for yourself, as long as you never give up. Your mental strength, determination, and perseverance inspire me, and I feel fortunate to be your mother.

Caleb, you have grown into a compassionate, caring, smart, funny, quick-thinking, insightful, and devoted young man. I am grateful to have you as my son. May God continue to bless you both abundantly. I love you.

In August 2022, Natalie was proud as her octuplets began their eighth-grade school year. She expressed this sentiment in an Instagram post featuring their first-day-of-school photo, writing: “Keep up the kindness, respect, and helpfulness towards your peers, teachers, and staff. You are great role models for the sixth and seventh graders. I love you.” To address any critics questioning why her older children weren’t included in the picture, Natalie clarified that her older kids did not want to be featured on their first day. She stated, “I respect their choice, so should you.

The family loves their fur babies too.

Maliyah and Nariyah were a coordinated sister act.

The Sulemans are a cat family, so Maliyah took the opportunity to do some dog-sitting.

On the occasion of Elijah’s 21st birthday in 2022, Natalie covertly shared a unique, contemporary photo of her eldest son on her social media account as a tribute.

On Mother’s Day, Natalie is never alone as she celebrates with her eight children, including their elder sister Amerah, in the year 2022.

On their 12th birthday, Natalie posted on Instagram in January 2021: ‘To eight of the kindest, most caring, and respectful children I’ve encountered, happy birthday!’ She praised their compassion towards all creatures and humility in serving others as a true reflection of love. They fill her heart with joy and have enriched our lives significantly. It’s an privilege to be your mother.

Noah and Jonah got ready to dig in.

The Suleman octuplets enjoyed baked goods on their 14th birthday.

In this old photo that their mother posted, Joshua, bearing a temporary facial tattoo, and his elder brother Eli, were getting ready for departure.

Looking back at this old picture, Natalie mused about how Makai had been like a guardian angel for Aidan since the very beginning, watching over him constantly.

Getting eight children to line up and smile for a pic sounds like a Christmas miracle to us.
