ExeKiller Gets New Trailer Showcasing Combat, Exploration and its Cyberpunk World

Paradark recently revealed a new trailer for their first-person action-adventure shooter, ExeKiller. The trailer gives a detailed look at how the game plays and the decisions players will face. It was featured during the New Game+ Showcase and can be viewed below.

The trailer for ExeKiller showcased a variety of gameplay, including shooting, driving, hand-to-hand combat, and parkour. The developers highlight that the game encourages players to explore and discover things on their own, rather than being led step-by-step towards their goals.

In this game, you play as Denzel Fenix, an ExeKiller – a bounty hunter employed by the powerful Helion corporation. Fenix’s job is to track down and capture people who are trying to break free from the controlling system, reclaiming their digital essence in the process. This fits the game’s cyberpunk setting and themes.

After completing missions, players return to the large central hub called the Tower, which also houses Helion’s base of operations. Here, Fenix can pick up new assignments, improve his equipment, and get ready for what’s next. The game is divided into chapters, and how players advance through the story depends on the missions they choose to undertake.

After leaving the tower, players venture into a desolate desert that was once New York City and the areas around it. They’ll travel primarily by car – a heavily modified vehicle built to shield them from extreme heat and radiation. This car also includes useful tools like a computer, extra storage space, and a radio for entertainment.

Though fighting is central to ExeKiller, staying alive is just as important. Players will have limited inventory space, so they’ll need to carefully choose what to carry. The inventory system will work like the one in Resident Evil 4, requiring players to strategically organize their items. Besides weapons, players can use tools like lockpicks and cybernetic implants to discover secrets hidden throughout the game.

These tools will be particularly helpful because the missions aren’t structured in a single way. Players will have a lot of freedom to complete contracts using their preferred style – whether that means being stealthy or charging in with weapons.
