Game of the Month: Here’s Every Winning PS5 Game for 2025

We’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, Push Square awarded a Game of the Month for all twelve months of 2025!

We asked our readers to vote for the best PS5 game each month, and we were impressed by their choices! It seems you all have excellent taste in games.

To wrap up our Game of the Month campaign, we’ve created this recap to remind you of all the fantastic games that won each month.

Here are the winners of Game of the Month for 2025, and how many votes and what percentage of the total they received.

January: Ninja Gaiden 2 Black (108 votes, 20%)
February: Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (394 votes, 45%)
March: Assassin’s Creed Shadows (275 votes, 39%)
April: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (745 votes, 54%)
May: DOOM: The Dark Ages (262 votes, 33%)
June: Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (545 votes, 72%)
July: Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (142 votes, 23%)
August: Metal Gear Solid Delta (222 votes, 28%)

It’s not surprising that many of our nominees for Game of the Year appear on this list – titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Ghost of Yotei were clearly fan favorites.

It’s great to see some lesser-known games finally getting attention. For instance, even though Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a really good game, it was always likely to be overlooked during Game of the Year discussions because it was released alongside bigger, more popular titles.

Looking back at our Game of the Month winners, I’m curious to see how well our readers predicted them! Did everyone mostly agree with the choices, or were there any big surprises? I’m already excited to see what everyone thinks in the comments and how the polls will play out next year – it’s always a fun debate!
