PlayStation Plus members can now download a popular game from EA—normally priced at $70—completely free! This game is only available on PS5, not PS4, and you need a PlayStation Plus subscription to claim it. The good news is it doesn’t matter which type of PS Plus you have—Essential, Extra, or Premium—everyone can download it. But hurry, this offer ends on February 3rd.
Until February 3rd, PlayStation Plus members on any subscription level can get Need for Speed Unbound for free – a $70 value! Just keep your PS Plus subscription active to continue playing the game.
A 2022 Release From Electronic Arts
If you haven’t played it yet, Need for Speed Unbound came out on December 2, 2022, making it the newest game in the Need for Speed series, which has been around since 1994. It’s the 25th game in the series and follows up on 2019’s Need for Speed Heat. However, it might be a while before the next Need for Speed game is released. Recent reports suggest that EA has paused development on the series to focus on other projects. So, if you’re waiting for a future installment, you could be waiting several years before it arrives.
Is Need for Speed Unbound worth playing? It’s not the best racing game out there, but it’s a well-made and enjoyable experience that mixes realistic driving with more over-the-top arcade action. It’s a fun game, though it doesn’t always go very deep. Critics gave it a respectable 77 out of 100 on Metacritic, while players on the PlayStation Store rated it 3 out of 5 stars.
If this game doesn’t appeal to you, don’t worry – it’s not the only free game available with your PlayStation Plus subscription. There are two more you can try!
