If you’ve been curious about the huge tower on Moonveil Peak and what it’s for, you’ll be glad to know it actually does have a purpose!
The Bellman’s Oath is a short quest, but it takes a surprisingly long time to get started. Preparing for it actually takes much longer than completing it! However, it’s definitely worth the effort, because it features one of the most stunning cutscenes in the game.
So let’s take a look at how to activate this encounter and the rewards we get from completing it.
Collecting Oddities

Okay, so before I can even begin this quest, the very first thing I need to do is fix the bell up at the top of the tower. It’s a bit annoying to have to do that first, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!
If you haven’t already, you can get the bell part by finding oddities all over Qinghe. Once you’ve collected enough, head east from the General’s Shrine Boundary Stone to find a merchant who needs them.
Repairing the Bell
After you get your reward, go to Moonveil Peak and climb the tower. You can use the scaffolding on the outside, or simply climb directly on the tower’s exterior.
Okay, so before I tackle the final boss, I need to head inside the tower and find the Bell of Demoncalm – it’s broken, naturally. Once I find the missing piece and fix it, ringing the bell will seriously weaken all the World Bosses around Qinghe. It won’t affect bosses tied to the main story quests, just the ones you stumble across while exploring the open world.
Finding the Mysterious Voice
When I first visited the tower, I couldn’t hear the hidden voice. This happened because I had already fixed the tower before the latest update. To resolve this, ring the bell to turn off the special effect, then ring it again to start the cutscene over.
Okay, so as soon as that bell rings, I immediately heard someone talking above me. I left the bell and climbed all the way to the top of the tower – seriously, all the way up! I followed the sound the game showed me, and there’s a guy just chilling on the roof’s edge. Don’t panic, though!

If you speak to him during the day, he’ll ask you to come back at night. To do this, go to the time settings and change it to nighttime, like Zi Hour.
Talk to the man one more time until he finishes saying everything. You’ll then see an impressive cutscene revealing a hidden world. After you wake up, the man will disappear, and you can collect your prizes.
Rewards
The prizes weren’t the main draw for me – I was more interested in the gorgeous visuals and the incredibly well-developed world. Still, here’s what you get as a reward:
- 25x Echo Jade
- 25x Qinghe Exploration
- 8000 Coins
- 8000 EXP
