Michael B. Jordan’s mom is shining under the Sunday night lights.
I was so thrilled to see Joshua Jackson bring his mom, Donna Jordan, as his date to the Golden Globes, hosted by Nikki Glaser at the Beverly Hilton! It was really sweet, and she even shared what she wants everyone to know about him. It was a lovely moment!
Donna explained to Zuri Hall in an interview on Live from TopMob: Golden Globes 2026 that his success comes from his unwavering commitment, dedication, and hard work, as well as the meaningful messages he conveys through his work and choices.
She added, “I’m very proud of that.”
Michael, nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (for The Smashing Machine), Jeremy Allen White (Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere), Oscar Isaac (Frankenstein), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent), was pleased to be celebrating with his fellow nominees.
The 38-year-old shared that tonight was all about celebrating their fellow actors and recognizing the amazing work everyone did this year, and simply enjoying themselves.
Michael is thankful his work in Sinners has been recognized with nominations from the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and the Actor Awards. But he’s equally happy to keep collaborating with his director, Ryan Coogler, whom he often works with.

According to a November interview with Vanity Fair, the Friday Night Lights actor described Coog as a pioneer, explaining that they consistently work together with a clear, shared understanding of what success means.
Despite feeling they’ve been overlooked in the past, Michael and Ryan—who previously collaborated on Fruitvale Station and Black Panther—aren’t letting that discourage them.
He explained that it’s always been challenging to have people recognize certain achievements—though they never actively sought recognition. Their preference was to simply focus on their work and let the results demonstrate its value.
Michael wasn’t the only celebrity who impressed on the Golden Globes red carpet. Here’s a look at other stars who stood out.
