Golden Globes: Amal, George Clooney’s Date Night Deserves a Trophy

The Clooneys are already making the 2026 Golden Globes a night to remember.

George and Amal Clooney made a stylish appearance at the award show on January 11th. Hosted by Nikki Glaser at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, George looked sharp in a suit while Amal stunned in a beautiful red dress. (Check out more red carpet photos here.)

George, along with his wife and their 8-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, is attending the ceremony where he’s nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy. He’s up for the award for his role in the Netflix series Jay Kelly, competing against Timothee Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Lee Byung-Hun (No Other Choice), and Jesse Plemons (Bugonia).

Adam Sandler, who appears with George in Jay Kelly, is also up for Best Supporting Actor tonight.

George and Amal Clooney, married since 2014, are enjoying a rare and special date night at the award show, which is challenging given their busy lives and young children.

In fact, the Oscar winner recently spoke out about navigating their careers with parenthood.

George explained to Will Marfuggi of TopMob News at the Los Angeles premiere of Jay Kelly in November that he and his wife coordinate their schedules. They aim to alternate who’s home, so when one of them is out, the other is usually there, and they try to keep things varied.

He went on to say that nobody is ever perfect, but you still have to put in the effort and do your best.
