How Michael B. Jordan’s Mom Reacted to Nikki Glaser’s Jerking Off Joke

After Nikki Glaser finished praising Michael B. Jordan’s acting in Sinners, someone felt like they needed a drink.

And that someone was the actor’s mother, Donna Jordan.

During her opening remarks at the 2026 Golden Globes on January 11th, the host joked about Michael playing two brothers in Sinners, playfully acknowledging the slightly awkward nature of the casting choice.

Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE this! He played twins! Seriously, twins! I was completely floored. Like, we got two Michael B. Jordans on screen at once! When I first saw it, I was losing my mind – totally Nikki B. Jerkin’ levels of excited because it was just that amazing!

Jordan laughed, though he felt a little embarrassed that his mom was nearby. Donna was with him again – they’d already gone to the Critics Choice Awards together on January 4th, and this was their second weekend together.

“Michael, I really messed up,” Glaser said. “I apologize for that joke, especially knowing your mom. I shouldn’t have said it to you directly—I should have messaged you privately. I care about you a lot, and you’re a great person.”

Donna reacted perfectly, raising her eyebrows and pretending to look around as she sipped her drink. It was a flawless performance.

I’m already so incredibly proud of Jordan, and it just keeps getting better! He’s nominated for Best Lead Actor for his amazing work in that horror film – playing both Smoke and Stack, as identical twins, was just phenomenal. Seriously, it was a truly captivating performance, and I can’t wait to see what he does next!

And as if this hadn’t already been such a singular night.

While walking the red carpet at Live from TopMob: Golden Globes 2026, Jordan told Zuri Hall that this was “a really special moment.”

The actor said everyone – the audience, fans, and people in the film industry – have been talking a lot about the movie, which he feels honored to be a part of. However, he added that tonight was all about celebrating his fellow actors and recognizing their amazing work this year, and simply enjoying themselves.

Donna expressed her hope that people would recognize her son’s hard work and dedication to his passion, as well as the positive messages he conveys through his actions and creative work. She shared that she is very proud of him.

Whether they took home awards or not, the 2026 Golden Globes was a special night for the Jordan family. Find out who won what with the full list of winners below!
