A TopMob News video captured Miley Cyrus, wearing a black sequined Saint Laurent dress, playfully tossing her hair before posing for a photo with Selena Gomez, who was wearing a black Chanel gown with white feathers, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on January 11th.
As photographers snapped away, the pair, both 33, happily flashed a smile.
Miley Cyrus’ song “Dream as One” was up for Best Original Song—Motion Picture at the award show hosted by Nikki Glaser, which aired on CBS and streamed on Paramount+. However, the song from Avatar: Fire and Ash didn’t win, losing to “Golden” from K:Pop Demon Hunters.
Selena was nominated for an award for her work in the TV series Only Murders in the Building, specifically for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy series.
Despite both Selena and Miley dating Nick Jonas while their shows, Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place, were popular, Selena has stated that she and Miley never had a falling out, despite rumors to the contrary.
Selena revealed in a 2016 interview with W Magazine that she and another person both had a crush on the same boy when they were sixteen years old. She also shared that they’ve both moved on and are now happy and settled in their own lives.
Selena Gomez addressed rumors of a feud with Miley Cyrus in 2023 by releasing her song “Single Soon” on the same day Cyrus dropped “Used to Be Young.” This timing seemed to directly counter speculation of any conflict between the two singers.
Selena shared on Instagram that her new song and Miley Cyrus’s new song are both coming out on the same day. She added that she and Miley have been friends for a long time, referencing their shared history as young performers.
