Expect to see a lot of exciting new characters with memorable designs.
Netflix is releasing the live-action series One Piece: Into the Grand Line in late March, and they’ve just dropped a new trailer! The trailer highlights the dangerous Baroque Works organization that Luffy and his crew will face this season. Fans get their first glimpse of David Dastmalchain (known from The Suicide Squad and Late Night With the Devil) as Mr. 3, and he looks intense! You can watch the trailer below.
Who Is Mr. 3 In One Piece?

The ‘Little Garden’ story arc from Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga will be featured in the second season, and Mr. 3 is a key villain within it. He’s a dangerous member of the Baroque Works organization operating in the Grand Line, and his Devil Fruit power lets him transform his body into wax. This ability allows him to create various forms and weapons, and even trap enemies by encasing them in wax as part of his schemes.
I’m a huge fan of Mr. 3 – he’s just such a uniquely fascinating character! So, getting to join the cast of what was already a fantastic show is amazing. Season one was incredible, and the way they’ve taken this seemingly ordinary office worker from Baroque Works and turned him into this cool, unpredictable, and sometimes villainous character is brilliant. He really fits the shifting alliances you see throughout One Piece. I’m really excited to see what the creators do with him in the live-action adaptation, because they’ve done such a phenomenal job bringing the anime and manga to life!
When Does One Piece Season 2 Come Out on Netflix?
Netflix will release the live-action series One Piece on March 10th, with the first season available globally. The eight-episode series covers story arcs from the original manga, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. The new season introduces several actors playing members of the Baroque Works organization, including Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Doug Jones as Dastmalchian.
Netflix is currently working on Season 3 of the live-action One Piece series. The creator, Oda, has confirmed that this season will finish the Alabasta storyline. Some parts of this story will start appearing in Season 2, so fans can expect even more exciting developments in the future.
