You’ve probably heard of ARC Raiders, the new game that launched in late 2025. Remarkably, it’s still holding onto 91% of the players it had at its peak on Steam.
While not all original players are still active, the game has sold enough copies to maintain a healthy player base.
What’s really striking to me as a researcher is the contrast with Battlefield 6. Despite a strong launch and good initial sales last year, it’s lost a huge 85% of its player base on Steam. It highlights just how much of an impact this new game is having.
I’m not trying to say ARC Raiders is better than anything else, I just want to talk about how amazingly well it’s done! It’s incredible, especially considering it’s a totally new game from a new studio, Embark. And honestly, Embark has been fantastic with the community, supporting us not just once, but twice now!
12.4 million units sold and 960,000 concurrent across all platforms
With over 12 million copies sold, the new game ARC Raiders is proving to be a big success and looks set for a long run. It’s also attracted a large player base, with nearly 960,000 people playing at the same time on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
Even now, the game remains popular on Xbox, ranking among the top 15 most-played titles in the US – more played than both Battlefield 6 and Helldivers 2.
As a researcher tracking ARC Raiders, I’ve observed a solid and consistent player base even after the initial launch. While the details of the next major update are still under wraps, the current Cold Snap event is wrapping up soon, so I expect we’ll have news about what’s coming next relatively quickly.
