Forza Horizon 6 May Come to PS5 This Year as Xbox, PC Release Date Leaks

Forza Horizon 6 is officially coming! A message within Forza Horizon 5 revealed the game will launch on May 19, 2026. If you purchase the Premium Edition, you can start playing even earlier on May 15, 2026.

I’m so excited! It looks like the game is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC first, which Microsoft is handling. They’re saying a PS5 version is coming later, but with the initial release planned for May 2026, I’m hoping we won’t have to wait too long – maybe even before the end of the year! It seems like Playground Games will have enough time to get it ready for PlayStation after the initial launch.

Twitter user @XboxF10 captured the pop-up, which you can see in the tweet below:

Taking the series to Japan, the splashscreen also confirms the Premium Edition contains:

  • 4 days early access
  • VIP Membership
  • Welcome Pack
  • Car Pass
  • Time Attack Car Pack
  • Italion Passion Car Pack
  • 2 premium expansions

Once the PS5 version is released, the Premium Edition will likely be available for purchase, along with the standard version. Microsoft initially announced the PS5 release with this statement:

Experience the stunning scenery of Japan and compete to become a racing star at the Horizon Festival in Forza Horizon 6. The game will initially be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2026, with a later release for PlayStation 5.

I’m so hyped for Forza Horizon 6! It’s going to be a big part of the Xbox Developer Direct on January 22nd, 2026, so we’ll finally get a really good look at it then. It’s already out on Xbox and PC this May, which makes me hopeful we might even see a PS5 version before 2026 is over. And it’s awesome that Fable and Beast of Reincarnation are also being shown off in the livestream!
