Mandy Moore is tangled up in changing friendship dynamics.
Oh my gosh, you guys, can you believe it? It’s only been two weeks since Ashley Tisdale bravely shared everything in that amazing essay for The Cut about ditching those…well, let’s just say challenging mom friends. And now she’s talking even more about how becoming a mom has totally shifted things with some of her friendships! I’m seriously hanging on every word – it’s so relatable, and I feel like she’s finally being completely honest about what it’s like to navigate friendships after having a baby. I’m obsessed with hearing how it’s all playing out!
During the January 14th episode of the Conversations With Cam Podcast, Mandy asked host Cameron Rogers if she’s noticed friendships changing over time. She explained that she’s found she’s closest to friends who are in a similar stage of life, particularly those who are parents with children of similar ages.
The 41-year-old, who has three children – August, 4, Oscar, 3, and Louise, 16 months – with her husband Taylor Goldsmith, also mentioned that it’s been difficult to see how her friendships with other moms have changed.
She explained that because our kids are around the same age, she’s felt a sense of sadness, not over losing the friendships completely, but because they’ve evolved into something different.
Actress Anne Hathaway’s recent statements follow Ashley Tisdale’s explanation, shared just weeks ago, for why she stepped away from her close-knit group of mom friends. Tisdale and her husband, Christopher French, are parents to Jupiter, age 4, and Emerson, 16 months old.
The founder of Frenshe didn’t mention anyone specifically, but she has previously shared photos and stories of spending time with other mothers, including Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy.

Despite Meghan’s denials, Mandy’s recent statements support what Ashley said: the group of friends formed because they all had babies around the same time during the pandemic.
Mandy explained that her friend group formed partly because of babies born during the pandemic. She shared that Hilary Duff and her husband, Matt Koma, are close friends with her and her husband, Taylor.
Just like a previous story about how a mom first suggested these get-togethers, Mandy explained that one mom, Hilary, was the one who really got the group together.
You know, I’ve always admired women who just make things happen, and this woman was one of them. She had this incredible vision – she realized we needed a creative outlet, a sense of community. So, she started a little music class right in her home! It started with a small group of amazing women, and I was lucky enough to introduce a few more. It quickly grew beyond just music, adding movement and becoming this wonderful, organic gathering of friends. It was really special.

Mandy’s friend group started as a way for moms to connect with their toddlers, but it blossomed into something bigger – a source of lasting friendships.
People naturally come together for celebrations like holidays and birthdays. We also enjoy shared experiences, like trips to the zoo – it’s all the stuff friends do together.
Ashley said she left her friend group by sending a quick text saying she no longer wanted to be involved. But Mandy pointed out that their mom group chat is used for everything – coordinating schedules, sharing information, and generally keeping everyone connected.
She explained that the moms’ online group is constantly buzzing with questions, comments, and concerns, and sometimes just lighthearted gossip.
But Ashley isn’t the only celeb to start a frenzy. For a look at more feuds, read on…

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)
He told Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they had a private issue between them, unrelated to the show, and wanted to emphasize it wasn’t a romantic matter—it was a personal disagreement that had been building up.
In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he had tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.
Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately got it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the part by having anyone else removed from consideration, as he explained on Instagram.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne described actor Danny Masterson – known from That ’70s Show – as the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She called him a “rude little boy” and a “dastardly little thing.”
He did not respond to her remarks publicly.
Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed annoyed when he was a guest on The Talk in 2014, after she mispronounced his name.
She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She responded sharply, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I will completely overwhelm you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea what you’re up against.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed her current feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure once declined to pose for a photo with her at a red carpet event. Soon after, Cameron Bure apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and admitting, “I feel terrible that I didn’t take a picture with you, JoJo, and I’m really sorry.”
Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday movies, she said it wouldn’t, explaining that the network would continue to focus on traditional marriage.
Okay, so JoJo – you guys, I’m obsessed with JoJo – she came out as LGBTQ+ in 2021, which was amazing, and she just posted about this actress’ comment. Honestly, it was awful! JoJo said it was super rude and actually hurt a lot of people in our community, and she’s SO right. It just wasn’t cool at all.

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without proper credit. Olivia responded with a supportive message, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, thanking Olivia and offering to share the contact information for her favorite florist in London, hinting she expected a thank-you note in return.

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained the reason for his difficult relationship with the Forrest Gump star while filming the 1989 movie Turner & Hooch.
I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, called me into his office and told me to pack up and go home, as I had everything I needed with me.
Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to get along very well. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said.
He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”
As a longtime observer of reality TV and pop culture, I always think back to that unforgettable moment on The Hills! It all started when Heidi began dating Spencer Pratt, and things really escalated. Lauren famously accused Heidi and Spencer of spreading a damaging rumor about her and Jason Wahler – a claim that truly defined their dramatic fallout. It was a pivotal moment, and honestly, still talked about today!

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced, set to release in 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson was still involved.
Tyrese recently discussed the conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that they still haven’t spoken directly, though he hopes to. He did, however, talk to one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not Johnson himself.
Tyrese admitted he often ended up speaking for others connected to the film series, but he regrets being the only one to publicly share those opinions. He said it was his mistake and wasn’t a professional or appropriate thing to do.

No more bad blood here.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Swift’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a shared backup dancer and rivalry during concert tours, ended when Perry sent Swift an actual olive branch as a peace offering before Swift’s Reputation Tour began.
Taylor shared in an Instagram video that she found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.
Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.
During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that they were simply coworkers and not friends.
She was deeply upset, saying she felt heartbroken about something. They had discussed it the previous week, and she explained that her memory of the experience was very different from how it was being presented. She found the situation really distressing because it didn’t match her recollection of events.
It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the unique experience we shared. While it started as a professional collaboration, it became deeply personal over the years, consuming so much of our lives. I’m hoping that shared history will ultimately be more important than any recent disagreements. Having spent so many years doing something meaningful and connecting with people was a real privilege.
And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances, saying she relied too much on lip-syncing. He famously told the audience that anyone who pretends to sing live during a paid concert doesn’t deserve the praise, and even suggested a harsh punishment for it.

The actress, formerly on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to not be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think her storylines that season were strong enough to deserve a nomination.
Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine Heigl’s departure during a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was both hurtful and predictable, explaining, “When people show you who they are, believe them.” Rhimes added that she’s carried this lesson with her ever since, and it has proven to be valuable advice.

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major news story. A month later, Cardi publicly explained what caused the argument with Nicki.
Cardi B recently told W magazine that another person has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.
The conflict really escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had supposedly reacted to a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting, though Nicki claims she didn’t actually engage with it.
I was set to earn a lot of money from my tour with Bruno Mars, but I chose to stay home with my daughter instead,” Cardi explained. “I love my daughter, and I work really hard to be a good mom. It’s frustrating when people without children criticize my choices. People keep saying that wasn’t the right time or place for what happened, but I don’t expect to run into other artists casually, like at the grocery store or on the street.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which mentioned Taylor by name.
Just before the Grammys in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”
The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview where Mariah was asked about various singers, and when asked about Jennifer, she simply stated, “I don’t know her.”
