Forza Horizon 6 Release Date Leaks Ahead of Announcement

It looks like the release date for Forza Horizon 6 may have been revealed before Xbox officially announces it. Xbox is hosting a Developer Direct presentation on January 22nd to showcase games coming in 2026, and Forza Horizon 6 is expected to be a major highlight, including the first look at gameplay. However, before the presentation, the game’s developer, Playground Games, appears to have accidentally leaked the launch date.

A message discovered within Forza Horizon 5 by X user @XBOXF10 reveals the release date for Forza Horizon 6. The game is scheduled to launch globally on May 19th. Players who purchase the Premium Edition will get early access starting May 15th. The message also indicates that Forza Horizon 6 will include more than 550 cars, and those who pre-order will receive the Ferrari J50. Finally, two downloadable expansions and an additional car pack are planned for release after the game launches.

Considering where this information came from, it’s probably accurate. It likely wasn’t supposed to be revealed until next week’s Developer Direct event. Now that details about Forza Horizon 6, including its release date, are out, Playground Games and Xbox might officially confirm everything soon and encourage fans to tune in to the Direct for a gameplay reveal.

Currently, the announced release date for Forza Horizon 6 is only for Xbox Series X/S and PC. While Xbox has confirmed a PlayStation 5 version is planned, it won’t be released until after the other versions. We’re not sure if we’ll get more details about the PS5 release next week, but we’ll share any updates here on ComicBook as soon as we have them.
