Married At First Sight’s Nicole and Christopher Thielk Welcome Twins

Nicole Thielk and Christopher Tielk have found love at first sight again. 

A couple who met and married on the Lifetime reality show Married at First Sight in 2022 recently announced the birth of their twins. They welcomed a daughter named Sofia and a son named Anothony on January 5th.

Christopher recently told TopMob News that becoming a father has opened his eyes to a love he never knew existed. He expressed immense pride in his partner, Nicole, calling her an incredible mother and praising everything she’s already done for their family.

The couple is thrilled to be expanding their family, but they’ve also shared that Nicole’s pregnancy had some challenges. At around 17 weeks, their baby, Anthony, was diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). This means Anthony has a hole in the diaphragm, which is allowing organs from his abdomen to move into his chest and put pressure on his lungs.

Nicole shared that being pregnant, particularly while knowing her baby was sick, was the most challenging experience of her life. She often wondered why her son was ill and how they would cope with the difficulties ahead.

After Anthony was born, doctors were able to successfully fix his hernia with surgery. He’s now getting the breathing support he needs to recover in the NICU, and is expected to stay there for about three months.

As for his sister? Baby Sofia is healthy and happy at home with her parents. 

Nicole described the day her twins were born as the most wonderful day of her life, something she’d never change. She deeply wished both babies were home with her and Chris, but she felt comforted knowing their son was well cared for and that their daughter was currently full of personality and affection on behalf of both of them.

Nicole also thanked her husband for helping her stay positive while her newborn received care at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville.

Chris is an incredible partner and father, and he’s been a constant source of strength for our family during this difficult time. I’ve leaned on his endless love and support so much, and I’m incredibly grateful for our growing family. I’m really looking forward to when we’re all together at home in a few months, which will mean everything to me.

Christopher also shared how thankful he is to have Nicole as his partner. He said he’s constantly impressed by her, especially her strength during pregnancy and now as a mother. He feels incredibly lucky to have her in his life, along with their children, and loves her very much.
