You can now watch all episodes of Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials on Netflix. The series is based on Christie’s 1929 novel, The Seven Dials Mystery, which isn’t as well-known as some of her other works.
I just finished watching this new series, and it’s a real treat! It stars Mia McKenna-Bruce, Martin Freeman, and Helena Bonham Carter, and centers around Lady Eileen, nicknamed ‘Bundle’ Brent. She’s an amateur detective who gets thrown into a fascinating mystery when someone dies unexpectedly after a weekend gathering at a country estate. It’s a classic whodunnit with a great cast, and I was hooked from the start.
Will there be more installments featuring Bundle solving new cases? Or will Netflix instead create a different adaptation of another Agatha Christie novel?
Here’s what we know about a possible second season of Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials.
Will there be a second Agatha Christie series on Netflix?

It’s currently unclear if Netflix will create a second season of Seven Dials, based on the Agatha Christie novel. Although the first season fully adapts the book, there’s always a chance the characters could reappear to solve a new case.
We could also consider adapting The Secret of Chimney’s, a book with the character Bundle that was published before The Seven Dials Mystery.
He explained that The Secret of Chimneys happens earlier in the timeline than Seven Dials, and the character of Bundle is portrayed quite differently in the novel. Because of these differences, he doesn’t believe there’s a clear way to create a story that logically comes before these books.
Superintendent Battle appears in three more novels: Cards on the Table, Murder Is Easy, and Towards Zero. The BBC recently created television adaptations of the last two of these books.
Look, I’m still buzzing from finishing up this latest Agatha Christie adaptation, and honestly, I’m just eager to see how audiences react. Right now, that’s all I’m focused on. From the beginning, our goal was to create something really enjoyable, a real treat for viewers, and I’m hoping we’ve achieved that. As for future adaptations or sequels? We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it, but first, let’s see how this one lands.
We’re excited for its release on January 15th, and that date really guided our entire creative process. I discussed with our director, Chris Sweeney, how we wanted this adaptation to feel – specifically as a Netflix production, different from the great US films or BBC series that came before. We wanted to define our own unique approach.
For me, the best part of this project is how wonderfully entertaining it is, and getting to see some of Britain’s most talented actors shine. Right now, we’re just releasing it and hoping audiences love it as much as we do – it’s a bit nerve-wracking, but exciting!
We’ll let you know if Netflix announces any more adaptations of Agatha Christie’s works.
When would a new Agatha Christie series debut on Netflix?

There’s no news yet about when a new Agatha Christie series might come to Netflix, and nothing has been officially announced.
Even if a release date is announced, it will likely still take some time for the show to actually appear. For example, Agatha Christie’s ‘Seven Dials’ was announced in March 2024, but won’t be available on Netflix until two years later.
We’re guessing the product might launch in early 2027, but it’s just an estimate at this point.
Who from Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials would return for a new series on Netflix?

It’s uncertain which characters from the Agatha Christie adaptation, Seven Dials, might reappear in future installments. If Netflix decides to create a sequel or a story set earlier in time, Mia McKenna-Bruce, who played Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent, and Martin Freeman as Superintendent Battle would be the most probable choices, as both characters have featured in other works by Christie.

As a huge cinema fan, I’m actually hoping the streamer goes with a completely fresh Agatha Christie story, one that isn’t connected to the ‘Seven Dials’ universe. If they do that, it’ll mean a brand new set of actors, probably some really well-known faces, which would be fantastic!
