Fans can now download HEART of CROWN on Nintendo Switch through the eShop! It’s currently available for $26.99 – a 10% discount – but the price will go up to $29.99 on January 29th, according to publisher PLAYISM and developers illuCalab. and FLIPFLOPs.
Following its release in Japan on December 18, 2025, the game is now available in the West. The PC version, called HEART of CROWN Online, also officially launched on Steam worldwide on the same day, moving out of its Early Access phase.

illuCalab, the indie game studio behind games like Gensou SkyDrift and A Magical High School Girl, developed HEART of CROWN. The game is based on a physical card game with the same name, originally created and released by FLIPFLOPs.
Gameplay
This is a card game for four players where you take turns trying to get your princess crowned after the emperor steps down!
To win, use the money you earn from owning land to buy more land and powerful action cards.
Once you have enough resources, it’s time to back a princess!
Each princess has a powerful ability, so you’ll want to be first to pick!
Build relationships with influential figures like senators and dukes. Once you reach 20 succession points, the coronation will start, securing your victory and the throne.
Steam online is supported, and ranked matches and room matches are available.
This game offers both a single-player story mode and the option to play with others. It features stunning visuals and a talented cast of voice actors, bringing the world of HEART of CROWN to life!
Story
Long ago, in a world of swords and magic, a powerful empire brought peace to the land after years of war. But before that peace could truly take hold, the emperor became sick, and there was no one to take his place.
Okay, things are seriously messed up – if we don’t get our act together, we’re looking at another continent-wide war! I’m one of the most influential people around here, so it’s up to me to make sure the emperor’s successor is chosen and that everything stays peaceful. The emperor didn’t have any sons, but luckily, there are seven potential heirs, including two princesses who are directly in line for the throne. It’s going to be a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it!
Now, let’s get the princess of your dreams to ascend to the throne!
Switch Physical Edition Now Available
The Nintendo Switch physical copy is now available! Plus, for a limited time, you’ll get a special bonus: a set of 8 collectible princess hologram cards for the physical card game.
If you’re in North America or Europe and want the physical copy of the game, it’s only available through the PLAYISM Official Store. It will come with the same goodies as the Japanese version, but with full English language support in the game.
Original Soundtrack Now Available on Steam
To mark the official launch of the game, the complete soundtrack with 25 songs is now available on Steam! You can purchase it separately, or get it at a 10% discount when bundled with the game and original soundtrack. The soundtrack also features some music from our previous game, HEART of CROWN PC.
