Elizabeth Olsen has been consistently working on exciting projects. She’s starred in the Max series Love & Death and the Marvel movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, adding to her already strong list of acting credits. With new roles lined up in the Hulu series Seven Sisters and the film Once There Were Wolves, a romantic comedy she filmed in 2025 that many haven’t seen is also soon to be available on streaming.
The critically acclaimed film Eternity is coming to Apple TV next month. Starring Suki Olsen, the movie follows Joan as she navigates the afterlife and must choose between her husband and her first love, who has been waiting for her. Eternity first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, had a theatrical release in October, and will be available for streaming on February 13th.
A24’s Eternity Is One of 2025’s Underrated Gems
You’re probably familiar with movies like A Minecraft Movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Jurassic World: Rebirth. However, Eternity didn’t get much attention, which is unfortunate because it’s a really good film. It was released in theaters at the same time as big hits like Zootopia 2, so it got lost in the shuffle and became a hidden gem.
This film is a standout romantic comedy with a touch of fantasy, and it’s easily one of the year’s best. Critics loved its original approach to big themes like life and death, combined with a genuinely sweet and funny love story. While it’s full of laughs, the movie also thoughtfully examines what it means to love, commit, and find happiness, all brought to life by a fantastic cast with incredible chemistry.
The movie has been a hit with both critics and viewers, earning a ‘Certified Fresh’ and ‘Verified Hot’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes with scores of 77% from critics and 91% from audiences. Eddie Harrison of Film-authority.com gave it 4 out of 5 stars, praising its ability to revitalize the romantic comedy genre with clever humor and charming performances from the young cast. Reda Cooper from SciFiNow declared it the best rom-com of 2025, predicting it will appeal even to those who typically avoid the genre.
What’s New on Apple TV?
Although fans still have about a month to wait for the new show Eternity on Apple TV+, there’s plenty to watch in the meantime. Apple TV+ already offers popular and highly-rated series like Severance, Ted Lasso, Silo, and Foundation. Plus, January brought new seasons of Tehran (Season 3) and Hijack (Season 2) to the platform.
