Okay, so it looks like Ubisoft really can’t keep a secret! As a big fan of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, I was excited to see they’ve started uploading music from the game to their YouTube channel. They’ve put up 18 tracks so far, and they’re all the awesome Sea Shanty versions – definitely getting me hyped for a potential remaster!
Soon after, Ubisoft explained on their YouTube channel why they re-uploaded the music. Instead of directly addressing the issue, they claimed technical problems had forced them to do so.
Hey everyone! We had to re-upload a few videos due to some technical problems. Sorry for any inconvenience, and we hope you enjoy listening! – The team
Many people accepted Ubisoft’s explanation about the reuploads, but others were skeptical. One user commented, “We don’t believe this is just a coincidence! Releasing the music for Black Flag at the same time seems suspicious.”
For a long time, there have been whispers about a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. These rumours gained momentum over the past year, fueled by hints from people involved with the project, including the voice actor for the main character, Edward Kenway, Matt Ryan. During a fan event, Ryan playfully asked a fan when they last played the game. When the fan said it had been “a while ago,” Ryan suggested they “may have to play it again,” adding that he had a reason for saying so, but couldn’t elaborate.
In December, talk about a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag intensified when a game called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced received a rating from PEGI, Europe’s video game content rating organization. The rating indicated that Ubisoft would publish the game and assigned it a PEGI 18 rating due to violence, strong language, and the presence of in-game purchases.
A domain name linked to Ubisoft for a game called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was recently discovered. It was registered in December by GANDI SAS, a company that has registered domains for other Ubisoft games like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Splinter Cell. This suggests Ubisoft will probably announce the game soon.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, and its remastered version, tells the story of Edward Kenway and his unexpected journey to becoming an Assassin. He initially got involved with the Templars simply to make a profit. The game is set during the Golden Age of Piracy, so players can expect a lot of exploration of islands, customizing their ships, and engaging in naval battles.
