Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis – Release date speculation and who plays Lara Croft

Lara Croft returns in a thrilling new adventure! After 30 years, the original Tomb Raider game is being completely rebuilt with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.

As a huge Tomb Raider fan, this year is already amazing! We finally got a sneak peek at Sophie Turner as Lara Croft in the new TV series, and I’m so excited to see her take on the role!

Here’s the latest information about the upcoming Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, including its release date and who will be playing Lara Croft.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis release date speculation

The next Tomb Raider game, Legacy of Atlantis, is planned to launch in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

This was confirmed when the game was officially announced at The Game Awards 2025.

We know the game will be released later this year, but we don’t have a definite date yet.

While we can’t know for sure, it’s likely that other game releases will avoid coming out around the same time as GTA 6, which is scheduled for mid-November.

Okay, so from what I’m hearing, the new Tomb Raider – Legacy of Atlantis – is probably aiming for a September or October 2026 release. The devs seem to be trying to avoid launching around the same time as GTA 6, which makes sense! They might even push it to December for the same reason – you don’t want to get lost in the hype of a huge game like that.

Either way, we’re looking at the latter stages of 2026.
