Fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, which is part of the Winter 2026 anime season. The new season is already generating a lot of excitement, promising some of the most intense battles seen in the series so far. Currently, the story deals with the fallout from the Shibuya Incident, but it will soon move into the Culling Game Arc. Season 3 introduces many new characters, though Satoru Gojo remains imprisoned within the Prison Realm. His sealing within the special-grade object quickly led to a dramatic escalation of events in Shibuya, forcing the sorcerers to respond.
The sorcerers fighting the villains weren’t strong enough to prevent widespread destruction in Shibuya, resulting in thousands of deaths in just one night. While continuing to battle Kenjaku, they’re also desperately trying to free Gojo. Episode 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 shows a potential way to rescue Gojo from the Prison Realm, but it will be much harder than they expected.
Jujustu Kaisen Season 3 Will Introduce a New Character Who Can Save Gojo
I’m so excited to share what’s happening! Yuki Tsukumo and the other jujutsu sorcerers are heading into the Tomb of the Star Corridor to finally get some answers from Master Tengen. The big news is Tengen knows how to break open the Prison Realm – specifically, how to get past the back gate! Apparently, the easiest way to do it would have been with either the Inverted Spear of Heaven or the Black Rope. The Inverted Spear is a seriously powerful cursed object that can completely shut down cursed techniques. Remember Toji Fushiguro? He used it against Gojo in the Hidden Inventory arc and nearly took him out! It’s a really crucial piece of the puzzle.
Following the battle, Gojo either contained or completely eliminated a powerful object. Separately, the Black Rope – a tool used by Miguel in a previous story – was also destroyed by the most powerful sorcerer of our time. Though either of these could have allowed escape from the Prison Realm, sorcerers are now left with only one possibility. Among the reincarnated ancient sorcerers participating in the Culling Game is Angel, who can cancel out any cursed technique. She appears in the most recent episode as Hana Kurusu, a young girl whose body she inhabits.
