Oh my gosh, you guys, North West just dropped a SONG! And it’s a collaboration with Kanye! I literally died when I saw it on her Instagram. It’s called ‘Piercing on My Hand,’ and it’s all about… well, her new hand piercing! It’s SO cute and creative, I’ve had it on repeat all day. She’s a star, I always knew it!

As a lifestyle observer, I’ve been watching North West, and let me tell you, she’s confidently owning her style! On a recent preview of a track, it was clear she isn’t paying attention to anyone criticizing her fashion – and honestly, I love that. She’s the eldest of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s kids, and she’s already demonstrating a fantastic sense of self.

She rapped, ‘I got a piercing on my hand, and another for the band.’ She continued, ‘There’s no friendship without understanding. I’m always shopping in Japan, and I only lasted two days in school before getting kicked out.’

Before continuing her rap, North thanked her friends, saying, “I got some new shoes, and they’re amazing!”

To the rhythm of the music, North confidently stated her wishes: she wants more piercings and tattoos, loves the idea of blue hair styled in braids, wants the music turned up loud, and is asking for $100,000.

Even though her father wasn’t in the video, North West mentioned him in the caption, writing, “Piercing on my hand, inspired by Ye.”

Thirteen-year-old North West is very confident about her personal style. She recently showed off even more hand piercings on Instagram, just days before her song came out.

In a recent photo, North West showed off silver piercings on two fingers while wearing a full black outfit from Balenciaga. She also highlighted the jewelry in a TikTok video with her mom, Kim Kardashian, captioned “#northforever.” In the video, North playfully displayed her hands while lip-syncing to the song “Ice Cream” by Prettifun, released in 2024.

North West isn’t just experimenting with nose piercings. Earlier this month, she used a filter to see what she’d look like with various facial piercings. In a video posted on January 3rd, she showed off a series of piercings across the bridge of her nose while with a friend. And it turns out there was more to her look than initially met the eye – at the end of the video, North smiled, revealing a full set of black tooth coverings.

Kim Kardashian, who is also a mom to Saint, Chicago, and Psalm with her ex-husband Kanye West, believes she’s raising a confident child. She’s known for her unique fashion and bold style choices.

Kim Kardashian shared that her daughter is very self-assured. She explained that her daughter will confidently respond to criticism – for example, about her hair color – by saying she doesn’t care what others think and wouldn’t want to associate with people who disapprove anyway. North West never forgets her bets. 

Kim Kardashian surprised her TikTok followers last January with a dramatic makeover. She applied a full face of makeup, including bold eyebrows, finished with a nude lip and false eyelashes. She then posed for the camera, chewing gum and lip-syncing to the popular song “M to the B” by Millie B.

Kim Kardashian’s fans were surprised by her unusual eyebrow look, but she later explained that her 10-year-old daughter, North, was behind it. Kim jokingly tweeted about the “bribes and bets” she was making with North to get her to do it!

Last summer at Paris Fashion Week, North sent a clear message to the paparazzi: she held up a sign that simply said “Stop.”

After their trip, Kim took to Twitter to reveal the backstory behind North’s note. 

Kim Kardashian tweeted on July 7th that her daughter North finds this video hilarious! Apparently, North was tired of people taking her picture, so she wrote ‘STOP’ on her invitation and showed it to them.

According to Kim, North simply “wanted them to just focus on the show” and not her.

North West playfully mocked her mom, Kim Kardashian, by recreating one of Kim’s most talked-about looks from Paris Fashion Week – the outfit made with packing tape. In a TikTok video, North wrapped some of the tape around her shirt and topped it off with a blonde wig. She didn’t stop there! North also lip-synced to a mix of Kim’s famous lines from Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Megan Thee Stallion’s song “Savage,” playfully teasing her mom. The video included recreations of iconic moments, like when Kim lost an earring in Bora Bora and when she playfully hit Khloé Kardashian with a purse while telling her not to be rude.

In a TikTok video posted on December 18th, North West playfully pretended to shave her mom Kim Kardashian’s eyebrows while Kim was sleeping, as part of a prank they shared on their joint account.

The video’s caption said, “So funny, the fake eyebrows filter!” North West was using a filter to make her mom Kim Kardashian’s eyebrows look thinner on camera.

Honestly, when North woke me up, I was so curious about what she was showing me! I opened my eyes to the screen, and you know what I said? I just had to tell her, ‘North, this is not funny!’ It was one of those moments, you know?

Fans of Kim and North’s TikTok account will agree: North is a natural at makeup, just like her mom. Kim recently shared that one of North’s elaborate makeup pranks, using special effects, almost led to a call to the police!

Kim told Allure magazine that she had a special effects makeup artist come to her house. The artist is so talented that Kim rented a house this summer and let her create incredibly realistic wounds and blood—not just on Kim and her daughter Chicago, but all over the room, making it look like a crime scene.

Kim was exhausted, so she decided to deal with the mess the following day. “I was in a hurry to get to school,” she explained. “The housekeeper arrived and was so shocked by what she saw that she actually called the police, believing it was a genuine crime scene and contacted the homeowner.”

“It was bad,” Kim said. “I have photos and it’s crazy.”

North clearly doesn’t beet around the bush.

I was so amused when Kim shared a video on Instagram last April showing off all the vegetables she’d just harvested from her garden! She had these adorable little carrots, kale, leeks, and beets, and she was so proud. But while she was filming, North chimed in from off-camera and bluntly said they ‘look disgusting!’ It was hilarious, and Kim was a good sport, captioning the post with a simple ‘Thanks North,’ acknowledging her daughter’s totally honest opinion. It just felt like a really relatable mom-daughter moment!

Forget a baby voice, Kim clearly has social media speech.

In a September 2011 video, North questioned why Kim changes the way she speaks in her videos, asking, “Why do you talk different?”

Kim seemed surprised when asked if her voice changed in her videos, replying, “I’m still the same person! I don’t sound any different.” She then asked North if she thought she spoke differently while filming makeup tutorials, and North responded by mimicking her mom’s voice from those videos.

It’s brutal out there for a mom of an Olivia Rodrigo fan.

In May 2021, Olivia Rodrigo sent Kim Kardashian a box of merchandise. Kim shared the gift with her followers on Instagram Stories, saying, “You all know how much I love ‘drivers license.'”

While filming, Kim’s daughter, North, unexpectedly interrupted, accusing her of not paying attention. Kim was surprised and laughed, responding, “Yes, I do! I listen to it all the time. Stop, North.” Kim then shared the video online with the caption “NORTH!!!!” and a string of laughing-crying emojis.
