Fans are eagerly awaiting Season 4, which is scheduled to premiere later this year. The Amazon series, based on Lee Child’s popular Jack Reacher books, has received high praise – currently boasting a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Showrunner Nick Santora hopes to maintain this positive momentum as the show moves into its fourth season.
Season 4 of the show will be based on Lee Child’s thirteenth Jack Reacher novel, Gone Tomorrow, and will include eight new episodes – the same number as the previous three seasons. The familiar cast and crew are back, and promise this season will be the most exciting one yet.
What Happened in Reacher Season 3?
The latest episode showed Reacher in a particularly difficult spot, going undercover deep within enemy lines. He was assigned the job of finding a missing DEA informant, Teresa (Storm Steenson), and to do so, he pretended to be a bodyguard applying for work at Bizarre Bazaar, a rug company secretly involved in weapons smuggling.
Inside, he was shocked to discover the operation was led by Xavier Quinn (Brian Tee), a man Reacher thought he’d killed years before. This revelation connects to the events shown in Episode 4, titled “Dominique.”
This episode centers on his experiences in the US military, where he and his mentee, Mariah Robinson, work together to uncover criminal behavior among soldiers. Their investigation focuses on a man named Quinn.
Reacher wanted Dominique to make the arrest herself and didn’t want to interfere, so he sent her with only one other officer to deliver the warrant to Quinn, leading them to a secluded farm.
Reacher finally finds Dominique, but discovers she’s been tortured and killed. Quinn is already gone. Reacher tracks Quinn down to a cliffside and shoots him, watching as he falls into the ocean.
Turns out, Quinn didn’t actually die! The bullet stayed in his brain, causing some serious memory issues. As I watched, the season really ramped up the tension with Reacher totally focused on getting revenge and DEA agent Duffy trying to track down her source. It all led to a fantastic finale where Reacher finally confronted the guy he hated most, guns blazing! And then, classic Reacher – he just rides off on his motorcycle, leaving you wondering where he’ll end up next. It was a perfect ending, really.
Who Stars in Prime Video’s Reacher?
Similar to the books that inspired it, the show features a fresh storyline and setting each season. While Alan Ritchson is expected to reprise his role, he’ll probably be joined by a different group of actors.
Several actors have reappeared in different seasons of the show. For example, Malcolm Goodwin, who played Oscar Finlay in season one, returned. Maria Sten also came back as Frances Neagley, appearing in several episodes of season three.
As a big fan of both Reacher and Maria Sten, I’m curious about her future with the show. Now that she’s leading her own series, it’s unclear if she’ll be back for Season 4. If she does appear, I’m guessing it’ll probably just be a quick cameo, but I’m hoping for more!
Jay Baruchel, who famously voiced Hiccup in the 2010 film How to Train Your Dragon, is stepping down from a project due to personal reasons. Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette will take over the role.
Not much is known about the new character yet, but he’s predicted to be very important to the story. We learn that Jacob Merrick is actually Jacob “Jake” Mark, and he’s the brother of Susan Mark, who works in Human Resources for the U.S. Army.
I’m so excited about the cast for this new show! Sydelle Noel is going to play Tamara Green, a detective with the Philadelphia police. And get this – Agnez Mo will be Lila Hoth, a young woman from Indonesia who comes to Philly with her mom, Amisha Hoth (played by Anggun!), to track down her American dad. Plus, Kevin Corrigan, who I loved in Law & Order: Organized Crime, is joining as Detective Docherty, and he’ll be Tamara’s partner. It sounds like a really interesting group!
Joining Rodriguez-Marquette as main cast members are three new actors. Several well-known faces will also appear in recurring roles during the show’s fourth season, including Marc Blucas as John Samson, Kathleen Robertson as Elsbeth Samson, Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum, and Dean Armstrong as Foster.
When Will Reacher Season 4 Premiere?
I’m so excited for Season 4 of Reacher! Even though the Neagley spin-off started filming first, Alan Ritchson was actually getting ready to be Reacher way back in May 2025 – he was even posting about getting back into stunt training! Once they finished filming the Neagley show in June 2025, they immediately jumped into making Season 4. It’s great to see how quickly things are moving along!
Filming for Season 4 wrapped up in November 2025, but Prime Video hasn’t announced when it will be released yet. Previous seasons followed a pattern of premiering about seven to ten months after filming finished. Considering this, and that Season 3 premiered seven months after wrapping, we can estimate Season 4 might be available around late summer 2026.
Details about the plot are still being finalized, but the new season will follow Reacher as he investigates a possible terrorist threat in New York City. Last year, Prime Video hinted at the New York setting by sharing a photo of the season 4 script placed on a subway car.
Readers have pointed out that the story begins on the subway, where Reacher becomes wary of a fellow passenger he suspects might be planning a suicide attack. The novel also features the risky activity of subway surfing – riding on the outside of a moving train.
It’s still unknown how accurately the show will adapt the book, and details about the new season haven’t been officially announced. However, according to actor Ben Ritchson, Season 4 could be the strongest one so far.
