It’s been a while since fans last heard anything about Incredibles 3. We previously learned that Peter Sohn, known for Elemental, would be taking over directing duties from Brad Bird, who directed the first two Incredibles films. Things have been quiet since then, but there’s finally some good news for fans eager to see the Incredibles family return to theaters.
I was so thrilled to hear Holly Hunter talk about Incredibles 3! She mentioned in an interview with ScreenRant that she thinks she’ll be starting work on it in March – that’s fantastic! She admitted she doesn’t usually know the full story beforehand, but she’ll be recording with Brad Bird, who’s been writing the script. It all sounds really exciting, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with!
Incredibles 3 Could Be Another Billion-Dollar Success For Disney
Since Bob Iger returned to Disney, he’s focused on well-known franchises and making sequels to boost the company’s performance. This approach has already proven successful with movies like Moana 2 and Inside Out 2, and Toy Story 5 is expected to continue that trend.
Moana 2 earned over $1 billion in theaters, but Inside Out 2 was even more successful, bringing in $1.6 billion. Experts predict Toy Story 5 will perform similarly to Inside Out 2, and may even exceed that amount.
The third Incredibles movie is coming, and it’s hard to predict how well it will do. The second film, released in 2018, earned an impressive $1.2 billion. Considering the success of other Pixar sequels, it could perform similarly, or even better, in theaters. While Incredibles is a popular franchise, it might not generate quite as much excitement as Inside Out 2 or Toy Story 5. However, things could surprise us, so we’ll have to wait and see how it does.
