Hailee Steinfeld had a pitch-perfect celeb run-in at the 2026 Golden Globes. 

The actress, who presented at the 83rd annual awards show in Los Angeles, said she couldn’t wait to tell her husband, Josh Allen, about a lovely chat she had with Adam Sandler while walking the red carpet.

Hailee shared that her family frequently watches Adam Sandler movies – they always have one playing. Recently, they were enjoying his 2011 film, Just Go With It. So, she was thrilled when Adam Sandler spotted her at the Golden Globes, waved her over, and told her he loved her show Sinners, praising her work and congratulating her husband, Josh. She immediately couldn’t wait to tell Josh what happened.

The Oscar nominee and the Buffalo Bills quarterback, both 29, are huge fans of Adam Sandler. Last Halloween, they proved it by dressing up as characters from his 1998 movie, The Waterboy – Bobby Boucher and Vicki Vallencourt – and a photo of them in costume was recently shared as a fun story.

You know, one of the highlights of the award show for me was definitely seeing Jennifer Lawrence! It was so lovely to reconnect with her – I’ve actually known her since I was just 13 years old. It’s always special running into old friends, especially at events like that!

This was the first time Hailee and Josh had seen each other since sharing the news in December that they’re expecting a baby.

Oh my gosh, it had been ages since I’d last seen her, but the moment her eyes landed on me… and then she saw my baby bump? Her face just completely lit up! It was the sweetest thing ever, honestly. I’ll never forget it.

She added, “She’s supportive and wonderful.”

Although Hailee didn’t share how Josh reacted to her memorable moment with Adam, it’s clear he was impressed with her stunning night. He proved it by reposting a photo of her in her custom pink Prada gown to his Instagram Story, and added emojis showing his admiration.
