Sara Foster Recalls “Blah” Date With George Clooney

Actress Sara Rue revealed that before George Clooney married Amal in 2014, friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber tried to set them up on a date. However, Sara recalls that George didn’t make a particularly strong impression on her at the time.

Sara Foster, 44, recently confessed to her sister, Erin Foster, on their podcast, The World’s First Podcast, that a date she had with George Clooney around 30 years ago was really disappointing. She jokingly said she ‘had to say it’ despite the time that has passed.

She mentioned that Rande and Cindy once tried to match her with someone when she was around 24 years old. They all went on a get-together, but she immediately knew he wasn’t a good fit.

Apparently, George, 64, wasn’t a good match for Sara. She recalled thinking he seemed much older, as she shared with others. Sara has two daughters, 15-year-old Valentina and 10-year-old Josephine, with her ex-husband, Tommy Haas.

In fact, the podcast host shared that she isn’t a fan of age-gap relationships overall.

She explained that she’s never understood the appeal of a big age gap in relationships. While she acknowledges that sometimes it can work, she finds it particularly strange when a very young woman, like a 19-year-old, is interested in someone much older, like a 40-year-old.

She explained she was upset that the supermodel and businessman had arranged a date for her with someone two decades older, particularly because she was already dealing with a recent breakup.

She remembered thinking they were all convinced something terrible was going to happen, saying, ‘We genuinely thought we were going to die.’ She added that she was heartbroken over someone else, and then described a particular person as seeming very old and out of touch.

She continued, “It was depressing. I was so depressed.”

Sara, the daughter of David Foster and his former wife Rebecca Dyer, also mentioned she didn’t believe George was very interested in the lawyer, who is a father to 8-year-old twins Ella and Alexander.

She continued, “I don’t think he was very interested, either. I started talking about my ex-boyfriend and getting emotional, so I think he decided I was a bit unstable.”

The reality star told The New York Times she’d consider almost any procedure to look younger.

She admitted in June that she’d even consider something drastic – like eating something truly unpleasant daily – if it meant she could look younger. She emphasized she was serious, saying, ‘I just might.’

In a July 2022 interview with Allure, Kim explained she was mostly kidding when she made the comment, but admitted it wasn’t a completely awful idea.

Kim thought for a moment and then said, ‘Honestly, I’d probably eat something awful if someone promised it would make me look younger – even if it meant eating a bowl of poop every day.’

During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April 2025, the singer of “Save Me” shared a truly embarrassing story, and he didn’t hesitate to tell all the details.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

He firmly believed it was just a misunderstanding. “I sincerely apologize,” he said. “I saw the audience turn from supportive to completely against me.”
