Poop in Hytale might seem like a joke item, but it’s actually surprisingly useful.
Poop is really useful for farmers! It makes crops grow much faster when used as fertilizer. You can also use it to playfully annoy other players if you’d like.
In this quick guide, we’ll tell you what you need to do to get as much Poop as you want.
How to Get Poop From Animals
To obtain Poop in Hytale, you’ll first need to build and place a Farmer’s Workbench. You can craft this at a regular Workbench using these materials:
- Any Tree Trunk x6 – Obtained by cutting down any type of tree.
- Plant Fiber x20 – Primarily obtained from cutting tall grass found in the wild.
After completing that step, head over to the Farmer’s Workbench and craft a Wooden Bucket and Crude Shears. You’ll need the following materials to build them:
- Any Wood – You get this from just chopping down any trees.
- Iron Ingots – Obtained from smelting Iron Ore at a Furnace. Check out our ore locations guide for help finding Iron!
With your new tools in hand, you’ll need to find specific types of animals out in the wild!
Chickens and sheep are two types of animals you’ll find. You can use Crude Shears to collect Feathers from chickens and Wool Scraps from sheep. And, importantly, there’s a chance they’ll also drop Poop when you shear them!
Although you can’t fully tame animals yet, you can catch small ones like Chickens and Sheep.
If you want a steady supply of… well, let’s just say ‘fertilizer,’ use a Capture Crate to bring it back to your base. I honestly didn’t expect to be giving that advice, but here we are!
Next, you’ll find Cows and Mooshrooms. You can get milk from them by approaching with an empty Wooden Bucket. Just like with goats, they might randomly drop Poop when you milk them, but don’t worry, it won’t end up in your bucket!
And that’s everything! Here’s how you can find Poop in Hytale. As far as I’m aware, this is the only method currently available in the game.
