The horror game featuring puppets, titled “My Friendly Neighborhood“, is set to debut on PC via Steam on July 18th. Subsequent releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One are planned at a later time. The publishers DreadXP and developers John Szymanski and Evan Szymanski have made this announcement. Moreover, the game will also be accessible via Game Pass.

As a gamer, I find myself thrust into the worn-out work boots of a man named Gordon, a repairman who’s been tasked with turning off an unexpected broadcast of a nostalgic children’s TV show called “My Friendly Neighborhood.” This cherished program once illuminated our screens and brought joy to kids worldwide with its vibrant cast of quirky puppets. They guided us on educational journeys, entertained us with fun games, and their warm smiles were the highlight of many childhoods. Unfortunately, as time passed, the studio had to close its doors due to dwindling popularity. However, it seems that now these beloved characters are back on the air for an encore… but something’s not quite right – it looks like they might be eating each other?!
In a blend of action and suspense, the game titled “My Friendly Neighborhood” is an ideal choice for horror enthusiasts seeking genuine and unexpected frights rather than excessive gore. Although you won’t find gruesome scenes like dead bodies or dismemberment, be prepared for your new plushy companions to prove resilient; they have a peculiar need for affection, which can sometimes be quite intense and uncomfortable.
