After over 50 years of abandoned plans and unsuccessful tries, someone is giving this cartoon character another shot at a comeback. He last appeared briefly in the 2021 film Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Good news for animation fans! Warner Bros. is reportedly developing a new animated movie starring Speedy Gonzalez, the famously fast mouse from Mexico. Director Jorge R. GutiĆ©rrez will be at the helm. Details about the story and whoā€™s writing the script are currently being kept secret. This isn’t the first attempt ā€“ Warner Bros. previously started a Speedy Gonzalez movie in 2016 with Eugenio Derbez set to voice the character, but it was canceled due to concerns about potentially offensive content.
