I’m so hyped for the next Avengers movies! There’s a new rumor going around about who Doctor Doom might team up with in Avengers: Doomsday, which is coming out December 18, 2026. And get this – Avengers: Secret Wars is already scheduled for December 17, 2027! It feels like a long wait, but I can’t wait to see what Marvel has planned.
What’s the new Doctor Doom update for Avengers: Doomsday?
A new rumor circulating on X (formerly Twitter) from James Mack suggests the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie will feature multiple versions of Doctor Doom. Mack claims one version will be incredibly muscular, similar in build to the Hulk. This follows an earlier report that Doctor Doom will have a larger-than-expected team of masked followers, including both men and women. It’s currently unknown whether these allies will be a group of people wearing Doom masks or actual alternate versions of Doctor Doom himself.
Joe and Anthony Russo directed ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ with a screenplay by Stephen McFeely. The film brings back familiar faces like Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. It also stars a large cast including Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Paul Rudd, and many more – Sebastian Stan, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Lewis Pullman, Simu Liu, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Danny Ramirez.
The next Avengers movie will bring back familiar faces from the X-Men, including Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. There’s also talk that Doctor Strange, Deadpool, Peggy Carter, and Spider-Man could make appearances in the film.
