ARC Raiders Reveals Scrappy Update, Level 40+ Matchmaking, and Large New ARC in Latest Roadmap

Embark Studios has finally shared its plans for the future of ARC Raiders. Starting in January with an update called Headwinds, players can expect a new project to work on and a new environmental challenge – which is likely the previously rumored Toxic Swamps map.

Get ready for new Trials! Plus, we’re adding a matchmaking option for players level 40 and above. This will give experienced players a fresh challenge and help ensure fairer matches, so you’ll no longer be matched with players much lower or higher level.

February brings exciting new content to Shrouded Sky! Players can look forward to a new map feature, a community-created project, a fresh Raider Deck, an Expedition event, and updates to existing maps. We’re also introducing a brand new ARC machine, which sets the stage for the Flashpoint update in March. March will bring even more – another new ARC machine, map feature, and player project. Plus, a special update is coming for Scrappy, your trusty rooster companion!

April’s Riven Tides update brings a new map, gameplay condition, and Expedition event, but the biggest addition is a major new ARC storyline. If you’re looking for a fresh challenge after dealing with Queens and Matriarchs, this should be it – and hopefully, the servers can handle the excitement!

We have a lot more planned, like new quests, challenges, events, items, cosmetic options, and improvements to make the game better. However, these plans are always subject to change. Plus, we’re already working on even more content for after our current plans are finished.

Having sold over 12.4 million copies, ARC Raiders remains incredibly popular, and fans are eager to see what new content the developers release to keep up the momentum.
