With the arrival of Wonder Man, the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, adding new characters and storylines. While the MCU’s TV shows haven’t always reached the same popularity as the movies, they’re becoming increasingly important to the overall story.
With Wonder Man leading the way, 2026 promises a lot of new and returning TV shows for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Several other projects are also in the works, meaning Marvel fans have plenty to anticipate after Wonder Man arrives.
4) The Punisher Special (Early 2026)
2026 promises to be a major year for the Punisher. Jon Bernthal, who first played the character in the Netflix Marvel series and his own show, officially joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in season one of Daredevil: Born Again. Following his appearance in Wonder Man, Bernthal is scheduled to reprise his role as the Punisher again.
A special featuring the Punisher is expected to be released around early 2026, though the specific date isn’t set yet. Jon Bernthal has become a fan favorite for his portrayal of the character, with many believing it’s the most faithful adaptation from the comics. These Marvel specials are a bit different than typical movies or TV shows, but this one promises to be an exciting return for Bernthal as the Punisher.
3) Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 (March 4, 2026)
The first season of Daredevil: Born Again was Daredevil’s first time leading his own show within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it drew inspiration from a popular comic book storyline. The season followed Daredevil as he came out of retirement to fight crime after Wilson Fisk, now the Mayor of New York, began to exert his influence. The season ended with some unresolved plot points, which will be picked up in 2026.
The new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again season 2 has fans really looking forward to its release. The return of Jessica Jones, a beloved character, is a major reason for the excitement, and the show is expected to be a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will be available on Disney+ starting March 4, 2026.
2) X-Men ’97 Season 2 (Summer 2026)
The first season of X-Men ’97 was a big hit with audiences. The show continued the story of X-Men: The Animated Series, appealing to fans of the original while also bringing the X-Men comics to life on screen. Because of its popularity, more seasons were ordered, and X-Men ’97 season 2 is expected to premiere in the summer of 2026.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the next season of X-Men ’97, with most of the original cast expected to return. While we don’t have a release date yet, season 2 is coming soon. It feels particularly important because the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe is also preparing to feature the X-Men in a big way.

Much remains a mystery about Marvel’s upcoming 2026 projects, particularly the show VisionQuest. The series is expected to continue the story begun in WandaVision, despite the fact that Vision’s fate hasn’t been addressed for five years. Though his long absence has been disappointing to some fans, it’s also built anticipation for his eventual return.
The upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest has revealed its cast, featuring some exciting new faces. The show is expected to tie up several unresolved storylines from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and fans have been eagerly awaiting its arrival, currently slated for a 2026 release. While the exact premiere date hasn’t been announced, VisionQuest has been in development for a while and could play a significant role in the future of the MCU.
