Sir Stephen Fry confirmed for all-new US drama series about MI6 agent

After recently appearing on the reality show The Celebrity Traitors where he tried to detect lies, Stephen Fry is now confirmed to star in and lead a new spy thriller.

John Fry will wear multiple hats on Fox’s new series, The Interrogator. He’s writing the scripts, serving as an executive producer, and starring as the lead character, Conrad Henry – a former MI6 agent. Fry is widely recognized for his talent, and he’s bringing that expertise to this new project.

Fox has approved a new TV series starring Henry Fry and his highly skilled team. The rest of the team members haven’t been announced yet.

When traditional techniques don’t work, Henry uses his unique personality, brilliant mind, and unusual methods to understand and capture the world’s most dangerous criminals.

While Fry last appeared in a regular role on a Fox drama with Bones, he’s been a familiar face on British television for quite a while.

He recently appeared on Celebrity Traitors, which was a lively change of pace. He’s also hosted the UK and Australian versions of Jeopardy! and done voice work for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Harley Quinn. On top of all that, he even had a recent role in Lena Dunham’s Netflix show, Too Much.

Fry will be an executive producer on the project, joining Matt Pyken (Empire), Bill Harper (Fire Country), and Paul McGuigan. McGuigan, known for directing shows like Sherlock and films like Lucky Number Slevin and Scandal, will also direct The Interrogator.

Details are still limited, but Fox has ordered a full season of 12 episodes, which is great news! Although we don’t have a specific release date yet, the show was announced as part of Fox’s 2026-2027 season, meaning it could arrive on our screens fairly soon.
