Prince Edward is focused on a single issue while people continue to examine the connections surrounding Jeffrey Epstein and those linked to him.
Just four months after King Charles III removed Prince Andrew (now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor) from his royal title due to allegations of connections with the convicted sex offender, the Duke of Edinburgh stated his priority is supporting the victims.
He emphasized the importance of remembering those affected by the events, stating, “We must always remember the victims, and there are many victims in all of this,” during a CNN interview at the World Governments Summit in Dubai on February 3rd.
The 61-year-old, who is father to 21-year-old Lady Louise and 18-year-old James, Viscount Severn, with his wife Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, chose not to discuss the matter further during his public appearance.
Honestly, I don’t think this group is particularly interested in that topic,” said the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. “They’re here for learning and discussions about the future.”
Edward’s position is similar to the one King Charles and Queen Camilla announced after Prince Andrew stepped down from his royal duties. Around the same time, it was confirmed that Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, would be leaving their home at Royal Lodge, which is on the grounds of Windsor Castle, and Sarah would no longer use the title Duchess of York.
Buckingham Palace stated these actions were necessary, even though the individual continues to claim he did nothing wrong.
The King and Queen want everyone to know they deeply sympathize with anyone affected by abuse, and will continue to offer their support to victims and survivors.

The U.S. Department of Justice is still reviewing files connected to Jeffrey Epstein, including his emails. On February 2nd, the DOJ released documents that contained an email where Sarah, the ex-partner of Prince Andrew and mother of Eugenie, 35, and Beatrice, 37, made a sexually suggestive comment about her older daughter.
When Epstein invited Sarah to join him in New York for the weekend, she replied in a March 2010 email, as reviewed by TopMob News, saying she wasn’t sure yet and was waiting to hear back from Eugenie, who was away for a romantic getaway.
TopMob News contacted Sarah’s representative and Buckingham Palace for comment on the email, but they didn’t respond.
Andrew stated last October that he agreed with Charles’ decision to remove his royal titles, explaining he wanted to prioritize his family and country.
The 65-year-old, who had previously reached a settlement in a civil case with Virginia Giuffre, continues to deny the accusations of sexual abuse. However, in a recent statement, he explained that the ongoing allegations are a distraction from the work of the King and the Royal Family.

Marius Borg Høiby, the oldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson of Crown Prince Haakon, was arrested on February 1st for assault, threatening someone with a knife, and breaking a restraining order, according to a statement from Oslo police to the Associated Press.
The 29-year-old man, who isn’t a royal and doesn’t have any official responsibilities, will be held for up to four weeks due to concerns he might commit further crimes. An Oslo court approved the detention, and his lawyer, Petar Sekulic, says they are thinking about appealing the decision.
Høiby is scheduled to appear in court on February 3rd to face charges related to four alleged rapes that occurred between 2018 and 2024, along with accusations of domestic violence and breaking a restraining order.
In a statement to the Associated Press, his lawyers said Høiby denies all accusations of sexual abuse and most of the claims involving violence.

On her 44th birthday, the Princess of Wales shared a message on the power of nature to heal.
In a recent video, Kate reflected on winter’s unique ability to bring peace and introspection. She described how the season’s quietness allows us to slow down, look inward, and connect with both ourselves and the natural world, like seeing our reflection in a still stream.
I’ve been thinking about how thankful I am. It’s like a natural flow within us washes away our fears, bringing a sense of peace and allowing us to truly feel alive and connected to nature. Nature is a gentle guide, helping us heal and remember.

Princess Catherine made her first public appearance of 2026, joining her husband at Charing Cross Hospital in London. The visit was to show support for healthcare workers and came nearly a year after she shared the news that her cancer was in remission.
