I’m so excited about the new Street Fighter movie! What I really love is when a film release includes physical collectibles, and it looks like that’s happening here. Hasbro and Legendary Entertainment just announced a partnership – meaning we’ll soon be able to get figures and other merchandise based on the movie’s characters, bringing the action right off the screen and into our homes!
Hasbro And Legendary Bring Street Fighter Characters From Screen To Shelf
The film is expanding beyond theaters with a range of merchandise, including action figures, toys, and collectibles. Legendary’s live-action Street Fighter movie will also have a global rollout, making these characters available to fans around the world in stores.
I think it’s really cool that Hasbro isn’t starting from scratch with Street Fighter. They actually made toys, vehicles, and playsets back in the days of the original Street Fighter II arcade game, which really helped bring those characters to life for fans at home. Because of that history, when Hasbro talks about bringing the franchise back, it totally makes sense to me – and I think it will to other fans too!
Tim Kilpin, head of Toy, Licensing, and Entertainment at Hasbro, described the return to the Street Fighter franchise as a “homecoming,” not just a partnership. He believes Hasbro’s experience with the original Street Fighter II allows them to create new products that stay true to the series’ iconic style and energy. Amber Sheppo, Senior Vice President at Legendary, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that Legendary is “thrilled to partner with Hasbro” and aims to give fans opportunities to enjoy the Street Fighter universe both in cinemas and through merchandise.

Hasbro isn’t sharing all the details of their plans just yet, but promises to reveal more in the months ahead. The movie itself is based on the popular Capcom video game series and boasts a large cast, including Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoai as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Jason Momoa as Blanka, and Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, among others.
What You Should Watch For Next
As a huge movie fan, I’m definitely keeping my eyes peeled for what Hasbro has planned – they’ve promised some cool updates soon, and I’ll share them with you as soon as I hear anything. Then, when the “Street Fighter” movie finally drops, you’ll be able to bring the action home and add some awesome collectibles to your setup!
