The popular anime series Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun is expanding! In addition to a fourth season of the main show coming later this year, a brand new spinoff series has been announced. The original series, based on a successful manga, has already gained a large fanbase with its first three anime seasons, and this new spinoff promises a fresh take on the Iruma-kun universe.
Get ready for a new twist on Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun! A spin-off series called IruMafia Edition is getting an anime adaptation. Instead of attending demon school, this version imagines Iruma being adopted into a family involved in demonic organized crime. A first look at the series has been released, and it’s expected to premiere in 2027.
IruMafia Edition Spinoff Anime Announced for 2027

The upcoming spinoff, Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun: IruMafia Edition, is planned for release around 2027, though specific details – including whether it will be available outside of Japan – haven’t been announced yet. This new story, created by Hiroja with supervision from Osamu Nishi (the creator of the original Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun), offers a different take on the series. While the original follows a boy happily adjusting to life with demons, this spinoff will be quite different.
This story reimagines the world of Iruma-kun with a twist: Iruma is still a kind boy, but he’s been adopted by a powerful mafia leader. The series follows Iruma’s journey as he rises through the ranks of the criminal underworld, featuring fresh interpretations of familiar characters. Now with its own official anime adaptation, fans can expect to see much more of Iruma in the years to come.
Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun Season 4 to Return in 2026

Good news for fans! The popular anime Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun is coming back later this year. Season 4 is expected to premiere in April as part of the Spring 2026 anime lineup, though a specific date hasn’t been announced yet. As with the previous seasons, you’ll be able to watch it exclusively on Crunchyroll outside of Japan, and you can catch up on seasons one through three there now.
The fourth season of Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun continues the story right after the third season ended, with Iruma and his friends participating in the school’s Music Festival. Like previous festivals in the series, this one will be a major event where they compete to climb the rankings and test their abilities. It’s a great time to be a fan of the show!
