Wow, this week on Emmerdale has been absolutely heartbreaking! I’m seriously worried about the Dingles. First, Moira got charged with murder – double murder! – and now Cain found out he has cancer. Thankfully, they said it’s localized, but it’s still such scary news. I really hope they both get through this.
I was shocked to learn that Moira wasn’t responsible for those bodies discovered on Butler’s Farm. It turns out the first victim was Anya Berisha, played by Alia Al-Shabibi, and she tragically died because of the awful way Ray Walters and Celia Daniels treated her. It’s just heartbreaking to think about.
In a cruel act, Celia covered the body with a blanket that belonged to Moira, intending to make it look like Moira was responsible.
Moira was shocked to learn the second victim was actually Celia. Viewers had previously seen Ray brutally stab Celia as he tried to escape.
While she awaited trial in prison, Cain went to the hospital to find out what was wrong with him. He quickly left the doctor’s office, struggling to come to terms with the serious news, and reacted angrily towards anyone who noticed his distress.

After a tiring day, he went to his father’s grave to think. His granddaughter, Sarah Sugden (played by Katie Hill), joined him, and he felt ready to talk about what was happening with his health.
Today, she went to see him at Butler’s and repeated her commitment to stand by him during his upcoming prostate surgery. She knows the procedure, a radical prostatectomy, could potentially cause issues with bladder control and sexual function, but she’s pledged her support regardless.

Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) showed up and found out about his friend’s illness, despite Cain previously refusing to talk to him. Liam strongly encouraged him to tell Moira, believing that keeping it a secret would only create more problems.
Cain reluctantly agreed, though knew it wouldn’t be an easy conversation.
Moira was in terrible condition at the prison. She had a black eye and was overwhelmed by the evidence suggesting she was involved in the crimes.

Cain told her he had cancer, but downplayed it, saying it was treatable and not serious. He couldn’t bear to tell her he might need surgery, and instead reassured her he’d keep working to secure her release.
He rushed to Paddy Dingle’s house, needing to talk to his father, Bear Wolf, and convinced Bear was the only person who could offer assistance.
After unintentionally causing Ray’s death last month, a distraught Bear started to fall apart, and Paddy asked him to leave.
But for Cain, his battle was only just beginning.
