Who is Ken Kern? The Lincoln Lawyer tribute explained
Not much is publicly known about Ken Kern, but a source from the show has confirmed to Decider that he was an accountant who worked on the production.
No further information was given about what he did on the production or how he died.
Placing the tribute at the end of episode 4 felt especially meaningful, considering how sad the episode already was.
In this episode, the prosecutor unexpectedly dismissed Mickey’s original charges, only to immediately file a new set of accusations against him.
Mickey faced a difficult choice: he could go back to jail to have his case heard quickly, or remain free on bail but give up his right to a fast trial.
After the death of David “Legal” Siegel, a close friend and important figure in Mickey’s life, Mickey wept openly while leaning on Maggie for support.
He went back to the courtroom and made a significant choice: he decided to stay in jail and give up his bail money, because he didn’t want to risk losing his right to a fast trial.
