Romeo Beckham Unveils New “Family” Tattoo Amid Brooklyn Beckham Rift

Romeo Beckham is kicking off a new era.

With reports of a family rift between Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, Brooklyn recently showed off a new tattoo dedicated to the people he cares about.

Romeo Beckham’s tattoo artist shared a photo on Instagram on February 8th with the caption ‘@romeobeckham Family’ and a red heart, and Beckham then shared the post on his own Instagram Stories.

Brooklyn Beckham recently got new tattoos shortly after publicly criticizing his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, for allegedly attempting to sabotage his relationship with his wife, Nicola, since before their wedding in 2022, and continuing to do so.

The 26-year-old shared in an Instagram post on January 19th that his mother unexpectedly cancelled plans to make Nicola’s dress, even though she was looking forward to wearing it. This left Nicola scrambling to find a replacement dress at the last minute.

It breaks my heart to say this, but my wife has repeatedly been treated unfairly by my family. We’ve genuinely tried to build a united front, but they just won’t show her the respect she deserves. It’s been a constant struggle, and it really hurts to see her go through it.

Although Brooklyn Beckham recently shared a seemingly critical post, his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, haven’t commented publicly. However, Nicola Peltz’s father, Nelson Peltz, did recently discuss how he handles his family’s private life being in the public eye.

During a February 3rd event for The Wall Street Journal in West Palm Beach, Florida, Nelson jokingly asked if his family had recently been in the news, then added that he hadn’t seen any coverage.

The billionaire businessman offered some advice to his ten children: avoid the media at all costs. He questioned, “What positive outcome ever came from talking to the press?”

I know everyone’s been talking about the issues between Victoria and David, especially with their kids Cruz and Harper, but I was really touched when he spoke. He didn’t want to get into any of that drama, and honestly, I appreciated it. What he did say was that he fully supports his daughter and her happiness, and that means the world to me as a fan.

I don’t want to discuss my daughter and the Beckhams today, but I will say that my daughter and her husband, Brooklyn, are wonderful people, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together.

While not required, many people expected Nicola Peltz Beckham to wear a wedding dress designed by her future mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, when she married Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022. The wedding took place at Nicola’s family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

Nicola kept quiet about the issue for months, but eventually confirmed there wasn’t any major conflict surrounding a dress. She did admit to being a little upset that she couldn’t wear a custom design by Victoria Beckham.

In August 2022, Nicola told Variety that she had originally planned to wear a dress by this designer and was very excited about it. However, a few months later, the designer informed her that their workshop couldn’t actually create the dress in time, so Nicola had to choose a different one. She clarified that the designer never forbade her from wearing it, and she never expressed a desire not to wear it. The story then became misconstrued and exaggerated by others.

Brooklyn said she’s realized people will always try to be negative or bring others down. However, she’s happy to report that everyone on the team gets along well.

Speaking to Grazia the following month, Nicola called the Beckhams “great in-laws.”

Victoria, who rarely addresses gossip, finally described the Peltz-Beckham wedding as “beautiful.”

In a June 2024 interview with InStyle, Brooklyn reflected on his upbringing – growing up with a famous footballer father and a Spice Girl mother – and said he felt very happy during his “crazy childhood.”

He admitted things were busy, but said he had amazing parents and really enjoyed himself.

It’s unclear why, but Brooklyn and Nicola weren’t in any of the photos his parents shared from the party celebrating David’s 50th birthday in London in May 2025.

According to a source at TopMob News, the couple traveled to England, choosing to miss the Met Gala on May 5th, because they wanted to visit David and celebrate his birthday that week or weekend.

According to a source who spoke with People magazine, Brooklyn Beckham decided against going to David’s party because he didn’t want to encounter his brother Romeo’s girlfriend at the time, DJ Kim Turnbull. Turnbull had been increasingly present at family events, like the Victoria Beckham fashion show in Paris in March 2025, ever since Romeo and she began dating publicly in November 2024.

When someone on Instagram wondered why Brooklyn Beckham chose to be with Kim instead of attending his dad’s party, Cruz Beckham, Brooklyn’s younger brother, quickly clarified that “Brooklyn and Kim never dated.”

Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola publicly acknowledged David’s knighthood in November 2025. They were also missing from the celebration when his soccer team, Inter Miami CF, won the MLS Cup in December 2025; only Victoria, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper were there to cheer the win.

In a recent post, Brooklyn accused his parents of manipulating the media to control the family’s public image, prioritizing the “Beckham brand” over everything else, and actively attempting to sabotage his relationship with Nicola.

He mentioned struggling with anxiety throughout his life, but says he now feels peaceful and relieved since creating distance from his family.
