The Kansas City Chiefs might not be in Super Bowl LX, but Travis Kelce is still scoring big.
The NFL player attended the Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium on February 8th, just under a month after finishing his own season. He was seen enjoying the game between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, dressed in a black suit and sunglasses. Although his fiancée, Taylor Swift, wasn’t with him, he appeared cheerful on the sidelines.
Even though he just won, Travis has talked about how upsetting it was when his 13th season ended poorly.
“It’s really hard to end your career that way,” Travis said to his brother Jason Kelce on their January 7th podcast, New Heights, “particularly after achieving so much and setting such a high bar for yourself.”
With his football career at a turning point, Travis said he’ll use the offseason to decide what his next steps will be.
He said he’d happily play another full season if his body recovers and he feels confident he can handle the demands. He’s currently evaluating his options and will make a decision with the support of his family and friends.
Taylor will definitely be involved in the discussions, as she’s already made it clear she’s closely following his performance on the field.
The Grammy-winning singer said she wouldn’t perform at the Super Bowl unless Travis Kelce retires from football, wanting to be there purely as his supportive partner until then.
Taylor Swift shared that Jay-Z has always been supportive of her. She mentioned that their teams communicate frequently, sometimes discussing the possibility of her performing at the Super Bowl. However, she clarified these conversations aren’t formal offers or official negotiations.

But Taylor noted that she’d never want to do it while Travis is an active player.
Okay, let me tell you, as someone who’s seen a lot of relationships, there’s something incredibly grounding about being with someone truly passionate about what they do. I was talking to a woman recently who was dating an athlete – a real athlete, playing a demanding and frankly, dangerous sport. And she realized how silly it would be to be focused on trivial things, like what dance routine to practice, when her partner was out there every week giving it his all, under immense pressure. It was a great reminder that a healthy relationship means appreciating the whole person, and what truly matters to them.
Taylor explained that while Travis would be supportive, she’s currently unable to pursue something because she’s already fully committed to other things.
