The Truth Behind Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Wedding

This couple had an inolvidable evening at the 2026 Super Bowl.

During Bad Bunny’s performance at the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show on February 8th, a couple got married on the field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, his representative confirmed to Variety.

The rapper kicked off his performance with “Tití Me Preguntó” and received a ring from a jeweler on stage, designed with a Puerto Rican theme. He immediately gave the ring to a fan, who then proposed to their partner. Before Lady Gaga unexpectedly appeared, the couple stood before an officiant and exchanged vows. They were pronounced married in Spanish and shared a loving kiss, surrounded by friends and family dressed in white.

Okay, seriously, the night was already perfect, but THEN he started “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and I almost lost it! And get this – while he was singing, I saw them actually cutting their wedding cake! It was SO cute, they were feeding each other little bites! I swear, I was screaming internally. It was the most adorable thing EVER.

During the Super Bowl showdown between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, the performer known as “DtMF” delivered a memorable show. His performance was a heartfelt tribute to his Puerto Rican heritage, featuring imagery like domino players, sugarcane fields, and small homes, and he even invited some famous guests to join him on stage.

One of the biggest surprises of the night was Lady Gaga—who famously performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2017—when she sang a Latin-style version of her song with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile.” At the same time, Cardi B, Alix Earle, Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, and Karol G were all dancing to “Yo Perreo Sola.”

And Ricky Martin, a Puerto Rican legend, also took the mic for a surprise performance of “Lo Que Le Pasó A Hawaii.

As a huge Bad Bunny fan, I was so thrilled to see him honored at the Super Bowl halftime show! It happened just days after he finally took home Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammys for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and Ricky really made sure to celebrate that amazing achievement.

In an article for the Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día, as reported by Billboard, Ricky wrote about knowing the importance of success while remaining connected to one’s roots. He explained that Bad Bunny’s achievements weren’t just a milestone in music, but a significant cultural and human triumph.

He went on to say that she had succeeded without compromising who she was, without forgetting where she came from, and by remaining proud of her Puerto Rican heritage.

Being on tour has been a whirlwind for Bad Bunny, but it’s an experience he’ll never forget.

Honestly, it was really touching to hear the rapper open up during that Apple Music interview before the show on February 5th. He admitted he was all over the place emotionally, which is totally understandable! He explained he’s still touring and just came off performing at the Grammys the week before – it’s a lot to juggle, and you could really feel that.

He said he mostly feels grateful and happy. He’s taking things one day at a time, enjoying life, and looking forward to the performance.
