How the Seattle Seahawks Reacted to First Super Bowl Win in 12 Years

The Seattle Seahawks have reestablished their dynasty.

The Seattle Seahawks won their second Super Bowl on February 8th, defeating the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker said after the game that reaching this point in his career felt like a dream. He noted that many players never get this far in their careers.

Cornerback Devon Witherspoon described the victory as a “wonderful” feeling and playfully suggested he planned to celebrate with a couple of drinks – maybe even three.

After eight seasons in the NFL, quarterback Sam Darnold finally won the Super Bowl and described the victory as “unbelievable.”

After everything I’ve experienced in my career, achieving this with this team feels perfect,” Sam shared after the game. “I’m incredibly proud of these players.”

As someone who’s followed Sam’s career, it was amazing to see him experience such a huge moment, especially knowing he bounced around to different teams over the years. He was so humble afterwards, saying it was all down to the support of his teammates and every coach he’d ever had. He also emphasized how much his family and friends believed in him, which gave him the self-belief to keep going – he put it simply, and it was beautiful to hear.

Seattle’s Super Bowl victory is their first championship win since 2014, when they defeated the Denver Broncos by a wide margin. This win represents a significant comeback for the team, especially after their loss to the Patriots in the 2015 Super Bowl – their previous appearance in the NFL championship.

As the Super Bowl approached, many celebrities were making predictions about which team would win. For Boston locals Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, simply seeing the Patriots reach the championship game felt like a win.

Ben called it “a miracle” during a January 15th podcast appearance with Matt on Casuals with Katie Nolan.

Even though Kendall Jenner partnered with Fanatics Sportsbook to bet on the Patriots, and despite the team having a legend like Tom Brady, he wasn’t sure they would win.

“I really have no idea who’s going to win,” the sports analyst said during a video call with Kendall on January 28th while appearing on The Tonight Show. He added that Seattle’s defense is one of the best ever.

The former MVP also emphasized his former team’s comeback season.

He also pointed out that their league-leading 8.9 yards per attempt showed how effective their offense was, and that it’s a great way to understand what an offense is trying to do.

Even before the Seahawks were guaranteed a spot in the championship, Seattle-born actor Chris Pratt predicted they would win it all.

I was on Good Morning America back in January, and they asked me if I thought Seattle had a real shot at going all the way. Honestly, I said I did – I really believe in that team!

Before the last playoff game, he expressed his hope that his team would perform well and that Seattle would win the championship.
