Kat Moon, played by Jessie Wallace, is determined to get something done in EastEnders, and she’s enlisted Vicki Fowler, played by Alice Haig, to help her.
Zoe Slater is in jail, accused of a murder she insists she didn’t commit. Her trial is coming up quickly, and her family is desperately trying to find proof of her innocence before it’s too late.
As fans of the show will recall, Zoe was knocked unconscious after a fight with Anthony Trueman on Christmas Day. Their daughter, Jasmine, then arrived and, when Anthony ran towards her, she defended herself, resulting in his death.

She has now disappeared, leading her family to suspect Chrissie Watts (played by Tracy-Ann Oberman), as she was previously responsible for harassing Zoe.
In today’s episode, an old face returned to the BBC One soap seeking answers.
Jake Moon, who previously spent twenty years waiting for his wife Chrissie to get out of prison, asked to see Zoe. Zoe was immediately suspicious, worried that Jake was secretly working for someone she disliked and trying to find out what was happening.

You know, Jake told me they hadn’t been close for a while, and surprisingly, he was the one who left – all because of her plotting! I was shocked to hear how far things had gone, though. Apparently, it involved a fire at the Branning’s place and some seriously creepy messages written in fake blood. I mean, who even does that?
He was eager to find out the details of what occurred at Christmas, but she wasn’t able to offer any additional information.
Zoe firmly insisted she hadn’t done anything wrong, and her words clearly hurt Jake. He suddenly saw that the woman he believed Chrissie to be was completely different, and he’d made up his mind to end their relationship and move away from London.

When Zoe shared this with Kat, he became very worried, because he might have the evidence needed to convict Chrissie.
Determined to find him, she convinced Vicki to walk along a canal path near Camden. They discovered Jake lived on a narrowboat, and a kind local pointed them to the right one.
Since Jake was nowhere in sight, Kat and Vicki sat down on the vehicle, but they didn’t want to wait around. Kat was ready to force the door open to look for clues, but Vicki suggested they first check under a flowerpot for a spare key.
The two then made their way in, but will they be successful in their plight?

Okay, so I’m Michael Adams, and I basically live and breathe soap operas! I write about all the drama for TopMob – everything from what’s happening on Coronation Street and EastEnders to Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, you name it. Before this, I was a soaps reporter at Metro for a couple of years, and I even got to work on the sets of Corrie and Emmerdale back in the day. It’s a dream job for a soap fan like me!
