The second season of Netflix’s One Piece arrives next month, and fans are getting a sneak peek at a major villain from the original manga. As Monkey D. Luffy and his crew begin their journey through the Grand Line, they’ll face a dangerous ocean full of both enemies and allies. This season, one particularly strong opponent with a unique ability will be Luffy’s biggest challenge yet.
Fans of the One Piece manga and anime already know that Crocodile won’t be a major character in Season 2. The new episodes will focus on locations like Loguetown, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island, and will introduce various members of the Baroque Works organization. While Manganiello’s portrayal of Crocodile will likely be hinted at in Season 2, he won’t become a main character until Season 3, which will cover the Alabasta Saga. Season 3 is currently being made, and that’s when Crocodile will become the primary villain.
