
Remedy Entertainment announced that Jean-Charles Gaudechon will become its new CEO on March 1st. Current interim CEO and co-founder, Markus Maki, will stay in his role until Gaudechon starts.
Gaudechon joins the team with more than 20 years of experience leading in the video game and digital entertainment world. Before this, he held leadership positions at well-known companies such as Electronic Arts and CCP Games.
Remedy Entertainment is pleased to announce that Jean-Charles (JC) Gaudechon will be the company’s new leader, guiding it towards increased profitability. According to Remedy’s chairman Henri Osterlund, JC’s experience in expanding popular game series and managing international teams makes him a great choice for this moment in the company’s development. With JC at the helm, Remedy aims to grow quickly, become more self-sufficient through direct publishing, and provide lasting benefits to its players, collaborators, and investors.
Gaudechon expressed his enthusiasm and honor at joining Remedy Entertainment during an important period for the company. He highlighted Remedy’s distinctive creative style and robust development process, stating his priority is to preserve what makes the studio special while creating outstanding games and building long-term value. He believes Remedy has the potential to become a leading force in the gaming industry, and he’s committed to building a strong relationship with players, earning their loyalty, and maintaining the studio’s independence in game development and publishing, all while continuing to collaborate with existing partners. Gaudechon will be relocating to Finland with his family and is eager to begin working directly with the Remedy team.
